Jewel across the street doesn't come close to the freshness. Clean store, friendly employees. It's worth the extra weekly stop.

A Neighborhood Favorite 6/16/2006

Located on the Northwest side of the city (Portage Park area) is this popular store. This is a fantastic produce market that also has a big grocery section and good meat and dairy departments. I now know why this place is usally crowded; everything is first rate. You will really get some good deals here. Close to Six Corners where the Sears is. more

Super fresh, good variety 8/4/2005

I loved coming here when I drove by almost every day. They had a great selection of apples in season, and many other fruits and veggies as well. They have good prices, often posted in the windows so you know what to buy at the cheapest price. Staff are friendly if you have a question. more
