Family Friends Veterinary Hospital

We have been going to Stu for over 10 years. I don't know what other vets charge, but I always feel my furry family members get the best attention and care from Stu and Staff. So well worth the investment if he is a bit more. Having a pet with an ongoing illness, Stu always lets us know what the cost will be so we can determine if we want to go forward with tests. He also helps us understand the benefit as well as pros and cons. He takes time to review XRays, blood tests etc in great detail so we understand our pet's status. The staff knows each of our pets, their names and personalities....and they all have a great interaction with them. more

We first met Dr. Bleck when he was working elsewhere, before he opened up Family Friends. He stood head and shoulders above the other vets in the other practice, and we would always request Stu when we were taking our dog in. more

Both vets are fabulous! I know Dr. Bleck best, but wouldn't hesitate to have an appointment with either. more

I have been taking my pets here for 10+ years. Stu Bleck has as great a repore with people as he does with his patients. I've been to other clinics and now they may have improved but I never found any better than Family Friends. It is not my choice for boarding however since the facility could use some up-dating but for health care he's the man. more

Unbelievable but my dogs actually LIKE coming here? Dr Bleck has a special way with animals and truly cares...but I just cant figure out how they actually pull to get into the front door! and kiss him! even thought they get needle, poked and prodded. All the staff is fantastic. Pros: super manner with animals more

This guy is fantastic!! I have brought my cats and dog there over the years and my sisters have also brought their pets too, and we all love him. He really is a nice guy and his vet techs are super too! He is so smart and if your pet has a problem he will find the answer in the books to help explain it to you and show you the pictures, etc. He has a calming manner and the pets pick up on that. Dr. Bleck and his staff have taken care of our cats and dog for the past three years, when we changed from Apple Country Veterinarians in Stow. They are great, and provide you with information to make good decisions about the care of your pet. Highly recommend Pros: Genuinely care about your animals more

My dog was dying (of addisons disease which he didn't know)and all he cared about was how he was going to be paid. After begrudgingly making an emergency appointment (He suggested I go to the emergency after hours clinic) , he had his secretary call me back to make sure I knew it was going to be expensive and that I would have to guarentee payment. I never went back except to collect my dog's records - he scribbled vacination dates on a single sheet and they were illegible. If you're rich and you don't care about you pets go for it. Cons: Bad attitude all the way around more

We have been with him since he was at Marlborough Animal Hospital. When Bailey was a puppy we needed a vet ,and they were a half mile down the road from our house. When he opened his office in Boxboro we would not think of going any where else. Even though it is now a twenty minute ride up 495 . He and his staff are very professional and caring. Dr. Bleck is awesome! He really cares about animals and it shows. My previous dog had a rough surgery and he called us from his home to check on her later that evening. Both my current dogs absolutely love him, he gives each one so much individual attention! Trust me, both you and your pet will love him! He's a wicked nice guy and explains things to you as an equal. I find with a lot of vets they expect you to just stand there like an uneducated idiot after a diagnosis you dont understand without asking questions. Dr. Bleck explains the situation and will sit patiently with his feet up and talk to you about it until you understand and feel good about the treatment. He's awesome!
