We waiting for 4 years to have this divorce finalized. My fiance's ex wife had two attorney's quit, one for non-payment and failure to follow his counsel and the other because his ex wife's boyfriend threatened the attorneys and the judge. She was given a FREE attorney after quitting her job at the beginning of 2010. Long story short, the divorce finally went through, Dec 8. We have the transcript, CSEU refuses to look at it, and is trying to collect money NOT due. We have to have the divorce decree in hand, file a motion in Family Court, and we cannot do that because over 7 weeks later we are STILL waiting for the ""judge"" to sign the decree. 1) is this a standard time to wait 2) who can we file a complaint to against the judge and the attorneys?
I would suggest if you hire a lawyer be sure to investigate their case load and their follow through cause ours SUCKED and so does the Judge.
