I was in crisis but not an emergency. My doctor was off. With all the doctors in the practice, the response I got was ""go to the emergency room."" Not one doctor there had the time to look at my chart. Go the ER and explain years of meds and treatment to the ER guy. What's the point of practicing with a group if no one is willing to be on call. I have been a patient for 10 or more years. No longer. more

An extremely knowledgable and effective psychiatrist! 11/15/2006

Dr. Heintz is easily one of the best psychiatrists in Baton Rouge. As a mental health professional, I've worked with many psychiatrists over the past several several years; Gerald Heintz has all of the qualities most important for this role. He's bright, personable, and exhibits the appropriate amount of empathy while working with patients with a variety of problems. more
