I was and still am a self proclaimed scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist. I can't pinpoint any certain reason why but... I have always been like this. My first trip to the dentist I screamed and cried and wouldn't open my mouth (around the age of 5). Thankfully I had great teeth as a child. Not a cavity or dental issue until I was college age. I then got a few cavaties and that made my fear of dentists even worse because I had some "bad ones" (you know how they are)!!
Well, I will be forever grateful to my colleague, Tanya P, for suggesting I try, as she called him, "Dr. Phil". So... I did!! He's great. He's a one man show. He does your cleanings and everything else. His office is immaculate and up to date. The latest edition are flatscreen tv's for your viewing pleasure. He's not too old and not too young, if that makes any sense. He's sensitive about my fears and he takes them in stride. I've recently had 2 new "issues" with wisdom teeth. He made recommendations based on what he knows about my comfort level regarding dental work. What a great man and professional. My husband and son and parents and sisters are all now his patients because of me and his great dental care!!
