My husband and I were planning to get married at this winery 3 years ago. We visited the winery, talked to the owner who was also in charge of the wedding booking etc. and decided this is where we wanted to do the ceremonies. We then put a deposit down of $750 to book the day which was at least 7 months before the actual wedding date. A month later, my husband lost his job and was offered another job out of state. We had to move so we decided that it wouldn't be practical for us to have the wedding in California if we're living accross the country. I then called the owner to let her know and pleaded to have some of our deposit back since she has 6 months to book the date for someone else. She replied by telling me that she will make no exceptions for no one. I said ok, and asked if we could at least get a bottle of their wine, she of course refused. I thought that being the owner she could have at least been more sympathetic or could have offered us a $12.00 bottle of wine after all she made $750.00 off us. I wouldn't be surprised if she booked the day to someone else after we cancelled our reservations.
