After reading both reviews, I found myself really thinking about my stand with this particular school. I have 4 children who currently attend this school. For the most part they ...

Stay away 9/17/2017

This school is more focused with religion than education. The administration is awful and allow children to be bullied with no intervention by them. They have been threatened to be sued on multiple occasions and this is the only thing that forces them to take action. They are known to shove their religion in your face and tell you directly that you will "die and burn in the lake of fire" if you don't "repent." Their teachers all come from unaccredited institutions and are always fresh graduates with no teaching experience. more

The school is. A facade 8/15/2014

It looks great on the outside, but very empty on the inside. Teachers go over the actual test before the. Test so yes the kids get al a's. Took my daughter out now she is learning to study. At faith there is no need to study, there is no critical thinking. It is their way or no way. Parents have to keep an eye on what is give to their child and kep an eye on the homework. And the bullying that goes on there is unbelievable and the rasmusens just sweep it under the rug. All lies. more

Awful School. Do not recommend. 3/2/2013

This school is terrible. Coming from an alumni I would never send my kids to this awful school. The administration is more concerned with hiring teachers of their own agenda to manipulate rather than actually hiring good educators. There are a few exceptions to their teachers, but for the most part they are young fresh out of college students who do not know what they are doing and then demand respect. The administration is also more concerned with shoving Christianity down the student's throats then actually letting them come to God. This is not the way one should be led to God. One should be led to God by love and realization that God is love, but they threaten children with death and hell instead to try to scare them into loving God. The teachers and everyone in the administration also have a problem with gossiping. Everything to them has to be talked about, no matter how personal. Even the student's lives become something for them to gossip about. They are very judgmental, which is something you would not expect from "Christians," but they love to judge all their students and choose favorites rather than help the troubled ones. They make students who they do not favor feel inferior, and also look for any reason to expel students they do not like. Warning should be heeded about this place. It is not a place of God, but rather a place where the administration and the ministry tries anything necessary to get your money. If they do not favor your kids then they will be mistreated. Again there are a few good teachers, but it is not worth the emotional and psychological damage to your children to send them to this place. more

Great core spiritual, moral and academic values 5/2/2011

Our daughter has been attending Faith Baptist for 3 years now. She absolutely adores her 1st grade teacher, loves her music and art classes, and truly looks forward to going to school every day. The staff is very attentive, dedicated and caring. The principal is amazing, and promotes open communication with parents through conducting "Coffee with principal" meetings twice a year, and making himself accessible on day to day basis as well. The quality of education our daughter gets is unprecedented; we are very pleased with the core spiritual, moral and academic values the school provides!!! more

Only place I'd send my child! 4/29/2011

Faith Baptist offers an excellent, affordable, private school education. Students are prepared for college and can choose AP courses just like the more expensive college-prep schools. Over $1.5 million was awarded to the graduating class of 2010 from colleges and universities. I wouldn't send my child any where else! more

Prepared for college and life 4/29/2011

Faith Baptist offers a rigorous curriculum taught by caring teachers. The education I received at Faith Baptist prepared me for college, while the spiritual instruction prepared me for life. more

Eyes Wide Open 4/29/2011

Good: It is a good value for the education, especially in L.A. I like the values they impart to our children and make kids adhere to.. Bad: I am a former graduate of the school who did not attend the elementary school. My daughter is there and while I appreciate that she is ahead of other kids her age, the emphasis placed on perfection in writing and the cliche analogies about what's good and bad, moral and immoral are at times inappropriate. She's 4, and my husband and I don't necessarily prescribe to all of that. We aren't as concerned with perfect numbers or letters, but rather that she understands alphabetical and mathematical concepts.. Improvements: While the decision about salvation is an important one, it is also a personal one. Parents and teachers are rearing these kids TOGETHER, and it is insensitive to have children choose between what they are taught at home and what they are taught at school. Granted, people can choose to send their kids elsewhere. Just know that's what you sign up for. As with all schools, you take the good with the less-good.. Other: Girls wearing skirts or not wearing skirts is a fruitless argument. Is it necessary? Not by any means. Just know that this is one of the (numerous) things that aren't tolerated or debated on the campus. More importantly, whether you agree with the religious teachings they impart to your kids or the dress code policy or not, ultimately we parents are responsible for who our children turn out to be. Our children will take on what we parents impart.. more

Great School 4/28/2011

My two boys are at Faith. Faith is a great school with wonderful teachers that only want the best for our children - which includes a good education, and good morals to live by... and for us as parents an affordable cost... more

Best school in the Valley! 4/27/2011

Faith Baptist is an amazing school with incredible administrators and high academic standards. The teachers take a personal interest in all of their students and the student body is characterized by kindness and camaraderie. There is an emphasis on developing personal character and an instillment of traditional family values. more

Fair 4/27/2011

I know that the administration and school board of Faith Baptist Schools is fair and just. When made aware of problems or issues, they always deal with them in a timely and fair manner. I appreciate all that they do for faculty, staff, and students. more

Damaging 4/8/2011

We removed our child from this school after bullying, shame, unfair competitive reward systems and harsh teaching practices robbed him of his joy to learn. more

As a Student... 3/17/2010

I'm going through these reviews, and I am thinking to myself: Did these people go to the same school I am going to? Because that's not what I am experiencing. Faith Baptist Schools is the reason why I haven't fallen apart. Psychological torture? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure where that exactly came from. I don't agree with everything they say, but they are certainly not hateful or judgemental. I remember when I first went entered the school, I was a wreck. My former school was not very good at all, and I was bullied physically, emotionally, and mentally for the 6 years that I attended there. So when I entered that 5th grade class, I was untrusting, thought that they were stupid, and that God was not real. I learned otherwise. My teacher, Mrs. Adrian Wise, took the time to ignore my hateful comments to her and my classmates and help me grow as an individual. She broke the "tough" shell I had put up to stay away from people. She showed me Christ's love. That is an example of the treatment most children get. And yes, I admit, there were some preachers who were like "YOU'RE GOING TO HELL" but they never showed up again. When I became depressed, my principal came to me and told me that if I ever needed someone to talk to, she would be there. And she was. As a sixteen year old girl, I know that there is much in life that I know I need to learn. But I have learned much from Faith, how to be a better person, how to treat others. They are anything but hateful...though I must admit, there are some issues they do not know how to deal with properly. But I know, and I mean, I KNOW that they truly care for their students. Sometimes they don't react in a preferable way, but none of us are perfect. I love Faith Baptist, and I love the faculty. I've already gone through my "rebellious" stage...I thought that they were prejudice and that they hated everyone who wasn't like them. But frankly, I was wrong. If there is one thing I know faith baptist doesn't do, its to judge a book by its cover. more

Best Christian School in San Fernando Valley 1/5/2010

My son has been attending Faith Baptist for the past 5 years and fell in love with the program and staff within the first week. He says he can't imagine his future education without continuing attendance. more
