Fairy Tea Cottage

This is a small, quaint tea room with Victorian decor. The owner does not know how to relate to the customers. She is abrupt, curt and abrasively rude. For $25 plus tax and tip the following is served soup (made from a mix) or a very small salad, one scone, four very small tea sandwiches, four teeny tiny bits of dessert and a pot of tea. All were good but not great and nothing was served with a smile. It was my birthday and I was being treated but the owner put a real damper on the celebration. I will never recommend it and never return. more

I had my babyshower here thinking it would be a fun atmosphere plus their website promoted parties. It was a mistake. The staff was rude to my sisters from the beginning. Once we arrived they had 4 tables for my party of 17 people - and one of the tables was a 2-top! They didn't ""allow"" us to present our cake or want us to put gifts out. This was because we only had 17 people and the restaurant fits 25 people. They actually had another table in for business. It was obvious that we were the 2nd priority and the other patron was the first priority. The tea and food was delicious and I am sure it is nice if you just want tea; however, I had an awful experience, was embarassed, and would not recommend hosting a party here. At the very least they should inform people throwing parties that they split up the party horribly, do not promote mingling, displaying cake or gifts, and will fit capacity with other patrons.
