The perfect place to find a quick gift or get supplies 3/23/2006

Fairwood Pharmacy has the coolest knickknacks and decorative miscellanea I've ever seen so it makes it a good place to check if you're looking for a last minute gift. At Christmas, they have railroad houses. They have ceramic trays, glass windows, a small collection of clothing and kids toys, a huge variety of unusual cards, plus all the normal pharmacy items including office supplies. The staff is very friendly and prices aren't too bad. Can be slow at checkout. more

Great pharmacy, knowledgeable Pharmacists - fun shopping! 12/30/2005

My family has been getting their prescriptions from Fairwood Pharmacy for over 10 years. The pharmacists there are extremely knowledgeable and they fill your prescription fairly quickly. A bonus is that when you’re waiting they have a great store that’s a part of the pharmacy. You can find great gifts, cards, candles, basically anything there. But be careful about how much time you spend at that store, you can easily spend a lot of money! But the good thing is that they have a “power pass” card you can register for. It’s like a club card where they track your purchases and when you reach a certain amount, they give you coupons for money off your next purchase. I have a $10 one in my wallet right now. Overall it’s a great place! Highly recommended. more

Slow service, overpriced items in store 9/27/2005

We finally stopped using this pharmacy because we always had to wait. The location is convenient, although the hours are particularily convenient, compared to a 24 hour place like Walgreens. The regular items they sell, like OTC medicines and cute junk, are always overpriced. However, it is unique to have a store where you could get a prescription, a new sweater, and a country-painted mailbox, all at once. more

Long wait 7/26/2005

Several times, I've taken in a prescription to Fairwood Pharmacy and every time it seems to take a long time for them to get it filled. They are always busy there and aren't very personal because of it. This is definitely not the place to take your prescription into if you are in a hurry. more

Not the fastest Pharmacy in town 6/16/2005

**update -Fairwood Pharmacy is now Bartell Drugs. I haven't tried them out yet but will delete this post if I find that they live up to the Bartell standards.** I've used Fairwood Pharmacy a few times before deciding it was not worth it to ever go back. They are often very slow and your 15-20 minutes turns into an hour for the most basic prescription. Not really a good place to wait if you have children since it's inside of a Hallmark and there are many "pretty" breakable things to touch. Even if your script is called in, you may have to wait if you have never had one filled there before. They didn't bother calling me (yes, they had my phone #) to let me know they got the order from the doctor but couldn't dispense it. But once I got there and gave them my insurance info yet again, they filled it after about a 45 minute wait. I've never had any problems there when it comes to dealing with insurance issues, but I am fairly certain that they accept it all. more
