I have counted on Fairview Heating and Cooling to support my home and my rental houses for decades. I have recommended them to my parents and friends. Every one of us has had an exceptional experience. My mother in law Carrol RIZZO Had called Fairview Heating and cooling because her furnace had stoped working and it was 26 degrees Feb 16th 2013 in Cleveland Ohio.. The guy shows up and after 5 mins. says "you need a new furnace,yours cant be repaired,& a new one is gonna cost you $1.600" ...She tells him- " i cant afford that right now,let me see about a loan or a payment plan"-- He says "well This visit is gonna cost ya $170.00 " for a service call" She gives him what money she had on hand and called Me... I Send my guy over there to "check it out" ( he works for a heating & cooling company i cant mention on here cause He went over off the clock ) He Puts a $25 part on the furnace and charged her a total of $100 ( 25 parts and 75 labor/service call) and said the furnace did NOT need to be replaced at all !!!!! Fairview Heating and Cooling flat out tried to Rip her off ,and in the end still ripped her off for the price of the service call and left her in the cold with kids in the hous more

So my wife calls and speaks to the ""lady on the phone"" who flat out efused to refund the money they con'ed her out of,and stuck to the story that the heat exchanger was cracked or some crap & it clearly wasnt ! Do not let your elderly parents call this company, get 2nd opinions if you do,. and if they have their sticker on your elderly family members furnace REMOVE IT , The Company is out to get you to pay their rent when your really only needed a $25 part, We are working with our lawyer now to see if we can find out how many other people have ""Had"" to have their furnace replaced"" by this company.\r .**Notice Gary is the ONLY guy ever mentioned in the good reviews he is having people post or posting himself ** & on HIS web page he states "" our goal is honesty So you can always count on straight talk"" This gut thinks he is a good con, But he never counted on me finding out about him,cause i'm telling everyone ! He is a rip off expert !!! more

Don't use this guy. He over charges and doesn't know what he is doing. more

Recently had Fairview Heating & Cooling come out to service air-conditioner and replace the thermostat. The service was excellent, Gary, the ower, came out himself and gave us some great information on taking care of the unit (it is 19 years old). He did not try to sell us anything, just answered our questions honestly and gave us some great advice on maintaining the unit. The repair and service call was very thorough and at a great price. Fairview Heating will defnitely be my company of choice to service my air-conditioner/furnace or replacement when we need it in the future. Thanks again. HG more
