I go walk nightly and each and every night I am taken in by the beauty at the top of the hill overlooking the Pier. It's truly breathtaking. The Pier was damaged badly during Hurricane Ivan, but was re-opened fully in time for July 4th celebrations 2005. The Pier is the stage for many festivities throughout the year. Fourth of July and New Years are probably the most popular. Please note dogs are not allowed on the Pier itself, but you can stroll your best friend through the park that winds alongside the beach. Make sure you take the time to stroll down to the end of the Pier.
