Great place to spend a Sunday! 3/31/2009

You can almost always find a deal here. Look for the one-timers. People who are not regular dealers and are just cleaning out their house have the best deals. You won't find them there every week but when they show up look for the deals. The antiques area is great to browse but many dealers are a bit pricy. I have to say too there are a few that are a bit jaded by their long years sitting in the fairground parking lot and really don't seem to like the people they are trying to sell to. Don't know his name but I'm thinking of one scruffy character with long hair usually wears a cowboy hat (i think) who looks down in disgust at most customers that come to browse his things. On the otherhand you'll meet other great long time dealers there like Harry "rock man" and Vanessa. more

Great Place To Get stuff 4/14/2006

When I was little I used to like to go to the fairgrounds flea market and look at the old toys. Some were antiques, others were more like something you might find at a garage sale. Regardless the toys were always a highlight for me. I also rememebr a lady who sold cloth out of the back of her station wagon. The windows were filled to the brim, it was like a carnival vehicle. Now taht Ive grown up, the flea market has becvome a place to get unique items rather inexpensively. I would reccommend this as a trip for anyone who likes unique items of is looking for a bargain. more

Old Toys 1/30/2006

I used to have an obsession with re-stocking my toy chest with all my favorite toys from the 80s. there are tons of vendors here that sell old toys. I purchased some ghostbuster and he-man action figures and some other nest things from my past hre for reasonable prices, although MUCH more than i paid for them originally :) more

Vendors Galore 1/29/2006

No matter what you may be looking for, you can find it at the Fairgrounds Fleamarket. Located on the same site as the NC State Fair, near NCSU, on the corner of Blue Ridge and Hhillsborough Street, you cannot miss the big neon sign with flashing letters. From antique furniture, to dog houses, to beanie babies and silver jewelry, the flea market has some finds. more

Antiques, Misc, Pets.... 8/22/2005

At the Fairgrounds Flea Market, you can find just about anything your heart desires and then somethings you never knew you wanted. They have rows and rows of vendors who have every item imaginable. The antique dealers have great prices. As long as it's not too hot or raining, this is a great place to spend a Saturday morning with family or friends. You can also pick up a new pet here or just get your puppy or kitty fix. Food vendors are available for when you get hungry or thirsty. more

Great Atmosphere 7/31/2005

The fairgrounds flea market is definitely something you have to experience in person. Some people will bring their dogs with them while they shop and make a day of it. You really can find almost anything you need here. There is plenty of parking available. You may have somewhat of a walk ahead of you if it is packed though. more

Unlike any other flea market 7/14/2005

The Raleigh Fairgrounds Flea Market is an experience best discovered in person. There are vendors offering plants, watches, home items, collectibles, old window panes and homemade items. Anything you might want to buy you can almost certainly find at the flea market. Also, those who run the flea market rent out tables to people who want to have a yard sale of their own stuff at the fairgrounds. There are local farmers selling their produce and High Point furniture showmen with samples of their quality work. The vendors change constantly so no two trips will be the same. This is a great place for bargain hunters and collectors. more
