My stay was 9/5-9/6 Our hotel room nice but had a smell of mildew once the AC was applied this straightened out. Hotel offers free breakfast on Sun's, plentiful!! We asked for late checkout but @ about 11:50 until the time we left our room which was about 12:40 p.m. maid Svs keep knocking. I felt that we were being pressured to give up the room so that this maid could do her job. It would have been nice if their staff would record the time of late check-outs give the maid service the agenda so, that the paying customer is not disturbed. As we checked out of the hotel on the 6th Manager Marion informed us that there was the nightly charge of $171.50 that was due. We let her know that our stay was charged to another card through the website Orbitz and that there were no incidental that would be charged to the second card that I presented when we came to the hotel. After verifying, the Manager Marion stated that our account was all clear I did not complain about the interruption of our time spent there gave them a we will be back when she asked if everything was alright. We bid them a goodbye and left the hotel. Two days later as I deposited my weekly pay check into my account I noticed that $171.50 was indeed deducted from my account as a second charge. I called down to the hotel to make them aware of it and was told that I would have to call the next morning to speak to either Frankie or Marion to straighten instraight this matter out. The next morning I called Frankie who was unavailable i was told Marion was there. After a short hold on the phone Anthony came back on the line and I was told that Marion was on a ""conference call"". I left my name and number gave times I would be available for Marion to call meback and hung up.Within an hour, Anthony her assistant or front desk personnel return the phone call confirming that my money would be back in my account between 24 to 48 hours later. When asked why Marrion did not return the call Anthony stated to me that she was still on a ""conference call"" now let me just say I am a Receptionist by trade and I know what a ""conference call"" means translation, she is not coming to the phone because she is not dealing with the person on the phone. I think Anthony for his diligence and hung up.Well here it is almost 72 hours later which means it's now Sunday morning, and there is still no money in my account. I had to call back again and of course through sheer luck Marion answeref the phone when I explain who I was and why I was calling Marion she quickly informed me that because of the weekend sometimes the money is not there until Monday. So let me get this straight because of her blunder I now have to wait almost 5 days for my money to get into my account ( counting from the day that I found the mistake until today). I would say people need to start paying attention to what they're doing you're supposed to be doing their job so that there is not a situation like this. Again I would have never written this review but now this has become ridiculous. If I am NOT rewarded with a free night or some kind of perks trust and believe me this will be the last time that I stayed at this hotel. There are others just down the road grom rhe Fairfield. I close on this review by suggesting that if you stay here 1. you might want to make sure if you have an extended time to let the front desk know you do not want to be interrupted until you leave that room you know the one you pay for ( oh the Do Not Disturb notice does not seem to work we have one on our door if you're wondering during the time the maid was knocking) 2. make sure you check your account or otherwise you will find like myself, that they have charged taking the money out of your account when it is not supposed to be missing from your account.
