Tacee does a great job of listening to your needs and incorporating them into an amazing cut. Stylists that don’t listen are a dime a dozen, and Tacee is not one of them. Daisy discusses in great detail with you, your wants and habits to come up with a style that will work with you. I am chinese and have lots of very straight, fine hair. She gives me highlights and a cut that always works well for me and also looks great for a long time while it is growing out. After finding her, I will not go to anybody else. Lisa is by far the best hair stylist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and intrusting my hair to. I fully trust her judgement and style with my hair. I've been going to Lisa for over three years, never a problem, always turns out perfect (mind you I'm extra picky, and somewhat stubborn) but I'm so at ease in her chair, that I can just relax, she knows just what to do, and have a pleasant conversations without worring of the outcome.... it ALWAYS comes out just perfect, better then I imagine. Lisa has over 17 years of experiance, is a master stylist and colorist, has worked in top salons in Beverly Hills and Chicago, is extremly profecional and knowledgable, and on top of it has a great personality, great humor, keeps you laughing and entertained, very real and down to earth, intelligent, and did I mention that she knows hair? I've refered my mother, my father, my sister, all my friends, and everyone says the same thing, not only did they come out with the best hair cut/style/color, but also had a great experiance. I was referred to Audrey by a friend of mine. She's a stylist trained out of New York City and lucky for us, she moved to Los Angeles. The hair color and cut were beyond what I've ever had...It was glamorous, yet natural. The haircut styles itself. The cut and color grew out so well that I even continued getting compliments up until my next appointment with her!!! Audrey is in a fantastic new place- hands down a much more hip, authentic place. Audrey has an amazing eye for style and actually cut my hair for my busy on the go schedule- a cut where I can wash and go. All the other cuts I have had require a lot of work which I rarely have time for. I always received tons of compliments. An added plus, she is super nice and down to earth. Audrey is simply amazing- which says a lot coming from me as I've gotten my haircut all over LA. My cuts from Audrey are superb and they last much longer than previous cuts I have had. It's a recession proof haircut(kind of cliche, I know but it's true) since you can wait a longer because she cuts it so it grows out well. Pros: Fantastic stylist, great hip place more

I go to daisy for my cut and dye. She is very good at what she does and I like that she is honest about what she thinks is going to work for the individual instead of just doing a style that maybe trendy at the time. She also thinks of how the hair will look in the long run. I highly recommend going to her more

Have been going to Bobby for over a year and have never been so thrilled with a stylist. From the amazing massage he gives when shampooing, to great color and wonderful cuts, I could not be more pleased. I have extremely difficult hair to work with but he seems to just get it. Salon is clean, comfortable and non intimidating, initial factors to consider for me. Then add to that, Bobby listens to what you want, discusses how to achieve the look and actually remembers what side you part your hair (well sometimes)! I highly recommend Hair Venice and Bobby. I'm so happy I met Daisy! We met through a mutual friend who's hair always looks gorgeous. didn't want someone who would just cut my hair exactly as I told them, I needed someone with fresh ideas and knew how to bring out my best features with some attitude!! Finding Bobby at Hair Venice was a lucky day for me. I live in Hollister, CA and designed a 60's style hair cut for myself' and found myself without a stylist to cut it. When I met Bobby I was on the verge of growing out my hair or letting the original design go. Bobby was rather magical in that he innately knew what to do and do it with grace and joy. I now find myself coming to LA just to have my hair cut. The hair style has evolved over the last year as Bobby works with the natural movement of one's hair. The space is beautiful with a lovely view of a delightful green garden right outside his double french windows. Bobby makes you feel comfortable with conversation that is always upbeat and positive. Bobby is a kind being and I look forward to the time I spend in his hands. more

I have naturally curly hair and usually after a hair cut, I have to wear a baseball cap for 2 weeks. Lisa has curly hair so she understands my pain. First off, I never write reviews - ever. But, this is news I have to share. For the three years I've lived in LA, I've bounced around from one hair person to another - never fully satisfied and actually usually pretty disappointed. I just moved to Venice and I figured if I'm going to have a horrible hair person, I might as well have one that is close to my house. That's when I found Hair Venice and to be more specific, Daisy. I went in with an idea of what I wanted but immediately, she gave me huge binders to look through. She told me to pick out the things I liked about any of the styles I saw. Then she discussed it all with me, looked at my features, eye color, etc. She even took my personality into consideration! She seriously gave me the best cut I've ever had and my color is awesome. I have medium brown hair and every stylist I go to makes me bombshell blonde or way too dark. Daisy gave me a great natural but rich color. I am beyond satisfied with my experience. And, to top it off, it's been about two months since I went and my hair is still in great shape. A major bonus is that the salon is super adorable. It's right on Abbot Kinney behind a boutique. I completely, 100 percent recommend this place. It's awesome! The one think I would suggest is asking for a good explanation of where it is. I had a little trouble finding it, since it was behind the boutique. Pros: Great cut and color., reasonable price. Cons: Blowdry might be extra more

I have been going to Bobby for a couple of years now and have always been very satisfied. I have tried several stylists and Bobby is the only person that I truly trust with a pair of scissors! And believe me I have trust issues! Whether he cuts my naturally curly hair dry or wet, he never takes too much off and gives a great blow-out too. So if you are a low maintenance girl that needs a great cut to last you 5 - 6 months, then go to Bobby! You will love him. Pros: Awesome haircuts! more

This is my first review EVER of any place and Bobby was the first time in years I went to see a stylist because I've had bad experiences. He gave me a superb cut from long to short. I wanted to change my style but I'm very low maintenance and like to wash and go. Bobby gave me exactly what I asked for and much, much more. Like I said, I can simply wash and go and it looks amazing. Then when I want to play with it, there are so many different ways I can style it because of the way he cut it. He really listened to what I wanted and advised me on what would work best with my face. I am now a faithful client to Hair Venice and I've never been able to say that before of any salon. \r more

I have tried two other hair salons on abbot kinney before and I was almost satisfied. But something made me keep looking for a different stylist until I found Daisy at Hair Venice. Hair Venice is tucked in the back of a hip clothing store Amanda. It's a small salon, so you might see max. 2 other customers besides you. You will feel very special in this space with super friendly+professional stylists. I read the reviews about Daisy on this website and contacted her. She was very nice and made an appointment right away for my convenience. I wasn't sure what I wanted for my hair, so Daisy and I had a long discussion to find what was right for my style. She wasn't just thinking about my hair, but she was making the whole style on me. I got a short hair cut which was not something I thought of getting when I entered the salon. But it fits so well on me, I've heard my coworkers telling me how cute I looked, my mom told me that i looked very professional as a designer. You know it's not easy to look cute and professional at the same time. Daisy even told me that I could come back anytime in a week if I was not satisfied. Well, I didn't have to use that great customer service after all. Pros: it's all about you! more
