One of a kind! 12/12/2005

I absolutely love this store! I always make sure to stop in and look around everytime I am in Northampton. FACES has everything from clothing to furniture to funky shower curtains, and everything in between. Pick up a book of jokes for a friend, or a photo mobile to hang from your celing, FACES has it all. Though some things are a bit pricey, it is easy to find something you like that will fit within your budget. When items go on sale the prices are terrific, so be sure to keep your eye out for the sale signs. And always check the back corner of the first floor where the clearance section is. I could spend all day browsing in this store. It is definitely one of the coolest stores in Northampton. more

This is an amazing store for college students and out of towners. Complete with a photo booth. It has an amazing selection of tee shirts and gift items, with furniture downstairs. The clothing selection is a bit tired and trendy, however. more

funky stuff 8/20/2005

This is a funky store located in downtown Northampton. They have clothing, cards, furniture and lots of funny trinkets. This is a great place to buy gag gifts too. I make a point of stopping in after Christmas when all of the holiday cards for 50% off. They have some neat furniture downstairs. Most of it is pretty retro and pretty expensive – but fun to look at. more

Store for students 8/16/2005

Faces is the central store for young students in Northampton. Faces sells household items, furniture, posters, clothes, gifts, cards, and accessories. A few of the items are overpriced, so you may find better deals in the local mall. But if you're short on time and need something like a gift urgently, then you may want to try Faces. Usually you'll find a lot of pre-pubescent and teenage students here. more

What draws you to Faces is probably the window display. They have amazing displays! They sell women's clothing, many brands that you won't find at the mall. Free People, American Apparel, an overall "Urban Outfitters" vibe when it comes to clothing. They also have a section with crazy toys for adults. I don't mean "adult toys", but toys that you'd buy for your friends. The downstairs section is full of mod furniture. It's fun to look at. They also have a good selection of posters and prints. Faces is one of those stores that's just fun to be in, and everything is fun to look at. The stuff they sell is useless but fun as well. more

Fun Place to Shop 8/10/2005

A perennial favorite. This store is a great place to look for someone who is hard to shop for. They stock large quantities of cool clothes. Great t-shirts, funky socks, and lots of amazing stuff especially around Halloween. All sorts of greats toys,like devil rubber duckies, and cute books like "Everybody poops". Fun stuff for children of any age. The basement of the store contains a selection of great furniture. It is geared toward college students, but it has a very funky feel that you can find in hip shops in New York or Los Angeles. The prices are very reasonable, and the store is usually crowded, but plentiful staff ensure a quick exit once you have made your choices. more

An eclectic little store in the heart of Noho 8/2/2005

If you want to find out of the way, retro or just odd stuff - go to Faces. I was introduced to the places about 10 years ago and I love it! From clothing, to gadgets to household items, Faces has it all. There is a lot of retro items - old TV shows, furniture, etc. I would highly recommend going to Faces for fun and some great shopping! more
