Great selection but satisfactory customer service. 2/27/2011

The husband and wife owners seemed to not be too concerned with customer service. However, I was impressed with the selection- like a treasure hunt. The employees seemed very nice as well. more

Surpassed expectations. 9/13/2010

I'm upset because my favorite fabric store down the street closed so a friend told me to try this place. There is a bunch of construction in front right now but I guess that isn't anything the store controls. \r \r Anyway, I was presently surprised. I've never seen so many southwest type fabrics, although that was not what I was looking for. \r \r I was worried at first when I read the other bad reviews about the owners but they were great to me (although I think its time they retire). \r \r Some of the fabrics were hard to find, but that was because there was fabric everywhere you look! Not your typical fabric store experience but a visit I will never forget. \r \r Tip: They have this amazing button collection, some that belong in a museum, so you can really get a one of a kind look. more

Best place for reupholstery in Tucson! 9/12/2010

I'm so happy I found this place. I had them redo my grandmothers sofa. It was something almost as old as she was (you can't just throw that away!) more

Fabrics That Go is a marvelous, unique, family-owned fabric store. It's one of my favorite places to shop when I'm visiting Tucson. \r \r I've found the owners to be very knowledgeable and helpful, with over 60 years of experience in the fabric business. Herman can be quite entertaining, and I've enjoyed his sharp wit and lively banter.\r \r The upholstery fabric selection is HUGE, and includes many beautiful handwoven Guatemalan fabrics. There are many Southwest-themed upholstery fabrics, and a wonderful variety of buttons. It's a great place to find the perfect fabric for those decorating projects! more

Unsatisfactory customer service 5/8/2010

My experience with the woman who owns the shop and one of her sons was opposite of the reviewer who awarded 4 stars. Yes, there's lots of fabric, but little help answering questions!!!!\r Needing 15 yards of fabric to cover a couch, I was interested in a fabric displayed in the window. The son, who was working the floor, approached me; I pointed out the fabric and asked him the price per yard. \r He said he didn't know and summoned his Mom, sitting behind the counter. I asked her if I was interrupting her lunch. She said "No, but he should have been able to help you." She was obviously annoyed.\r She couldn't answer my questions either: I asked the country the fabric was made in, and the number of "rubs". However, she led me to where a large roll of it was displayed and commented that it was incorrectly marked at 29.99, and should be 39.99.\r Either figure was more than I wanted to pay, so I began looking at rolls of remnants, but there wasn't enough on any o more

Great Store 12/17/2008

I love this store. I have been coming here for years and have never had a problem. The prices are great and the selection is the largest I have ever seen. They also started doing labor so I don't have to find an upholsterer anymore. more

Fantastic Experience 14,000 sf store! 5/14/2008

The charming retired owner & his wife have built up this 60 year old business for the Tuscan area. If only the US upholstery mills could offer such selection for Brand Name Furniture, their industry would be booming. They promise to get a web site up & running this summer. If you need a new look for you home furnishings, plan on spending a couple of hours choosing your perfect fabric, style & weight from over a thousand bolts! Fabrics that Go you rock! more
