In Short
Taking a straightforward approach instead of going for flair, this steakhouse aims for well-prepared food served with quality and consistency. Chops of corn-fed beef, pork, veal or chicken, in 8- to 20-ounce cuts, are salt-and-pepper seasoned, then broiled to order. Healthier seafood selections are available, including a chilled tower appetizer stacked high enough to feed four. Even the decor--almond-pendant lighting, cherrywood tables and red leather seating--provides a comfortable ambiance.
Hits: The wine menu aims to assist with food pairings. More than 100 selections are available by the glass and are organized by varietal, body and flavor intensity.
Misses: The open seating plan might be good for people watching, but being able to see and hear fellow diners can make intimate conversation difficult.
