Customer service needs a major overhaul 9/9/2009

I had never used Fastsigns before, but since their Salem store was on the way in my evening Dublin to Roanoke commute I thought I'd give them a try. I called on a Friday, got a price quote and an estimated turnaround of 2-3 days on vinyl window lettering. I emailed the graphic on Friday afternoon and called the store to verify that the graphic and file type met their needs. Shae sent me an email on Monday afternoon asking ""how many do you want?"" Tuesday afternoon I received another email asking ""are you going to pick this up at the Roanoke or Salem store?"" Gee, how about at the store from which I ordered it. I called Wednesday to check the status and was left hanging until I hung up at the 6 minute mark. I emailed and told Shae to cancel the order and didn't even receive a follow-up ""sorry."" I then called Sign Systems in Radford, emailed the graphic and had the merchandise in-hand the next afternoon. I've been doing commercial graphics for over 20 years and this is the first time I've encountered a business that apparently just didn't want to do the job. Pros: How could I know...
