In 1989 EyeCare Consultants was formed. From the inception, the mission has been to partner with area optometrists to provide the highest quality specialty eye care and surgery. Nine years later a surgery center, EyeCare Consultants Surgery Center, was added. Over the years, practice grew, with the additions of Walter Egenmaier, O.D. in 1993 and Matthew Boyer, M.D. in 2002.
EyeCare Consultants has been providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for the Evansville community ever since.
The practice is dedicated to the philosophy of cooperative patient care. We work closely with area optometrists to provide each patient excellent care. The co-management partnership allows the patient local, convenient access to all of their eye care needs, with each professional complementing the education and clinical experience of the others.
Specializing in small incision cataract surgery, corneal disease, refractive surgery, glaucoma and retinal disorders, EyeCare Consultants provides patients with education in conjunction with their consultation. Our state of the art Ambulatory Surgery Center is adjacent to our practice. Accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, our surgery center meets the highest standards for quality patient care.
EyeCare Consultants also participates in the Indiana University, University of Missouri at St Louis, and Southern College of Optometry extern programs to provide concentrated treatment and management of ocular disease training for optometric students.
