Okay - this is my 3rd time to post a review for Eye Contact because I want everyone to know how great this place is! My eyesight has been progressively worsening over the last several years to the point that I've been wearing my glasses full time and I'm honestly too vain for that. So I asked around my office and everyone recommended lasik (I'm 41 and my co-workers are around the same age if not younger). I had a consultation with one of the best lasik doctors in town and was preparing to have surgery last year. That is until I met Dr. Tyler. I can not say enough about Christine Tyler! She was the first to explain to me that I really wasn't the best candidate for lasik right now due to my age and the fact that my eyes are changing and will continue to change over the next several years. This was news to me - I thought the 40s would be the perfect age for it. I double checked, called my lasik doctor's office to confirm, and it was true that the odds of my requiring a second surgery in my 50's are high. In fact, I might still need reading glasses anyway in about 2-3 years post surgery. That's ridiculous! Not to mention that they didn't tell me that during my ""great news, you're a candidate for lasik"" meeting. Anyway, I went through a series of tests at Eye Contact with Marti and Dr, Tyler and am really, really pleased with the outcome. I had tried contacts nearly 20 years ago and didn't do well with the versions that they had back then and so I didn't think I could wear them even now. Dr. Tyler did a very comprehensive exam, suggested that I give it another try and worked with me on a few contact options (I wore two different pairs for about 2 weeks each bc my right eye is so much weaker than my left) until we were both satisfied with the clarity of my vision. I could not be happier! I can actually see better than I ever did with glasses. My entire experience with Eye Contact has been overwhelmingly positive. After years of just going to my neighborhood TSO office - I had no idea how different the service level could be. Or that I could once again read a dinner menu without pulling out my readers. (-: I would definitely recommend Eye Contact to all my friends, esp. those interested in lasik right now. PS - Dr. Tyler's been at Eye Contact for years but her staff mentioned that she also just recently purchased the office. I read some earlier reviews about bad policies - might be worth calling and seeing if any of that has changed now. Can't imagine that it wouldn't. Good luck!
