The project occurred in two phases. First was shingle/venting removal & replacement. The crew began on Friday, Oct 12th, 2012 and worked until dark (7 p.m., CDT). They placed tarp over the unfinished areas & the foreman informed me that they would return on Saturday the 13th to finish. The crew returned early Saturday morning & the job was completed by 11 a.m. They performed a sweep of the area for debris & nails both Friday evening & again on Saturday prior to departing. The foreman kept me informed of what was going on & that a different crew would be on site at a later date for the gutter replacement. Gutter removal/replacement occurred on Monday, Oct 22nd. It only took a few hours & again the foreman kept me informed of what would happen. This crew also swept the area for debris after they were finished. Final inspection occurred Tuesday Nov 6th. I am currently waiting on the final bill. I found E.B.S. to be a good company to work with. They provide a project manager (& phone number) to communicate with. The crews worked hard, were proficient & cleaned up after themselves. I had already chosen E.B.S. in my own mind before joining Angie's list & checking them out. That they had a 5% Angie's coupon just sealed the deal for me. more

It took a while because of the storm. They did everything well. I think I would recommend them. They did everything we asked them to do and if something wasn't right, they did everything they could do to make it right for us. They were really good on customer service. They fixed a couple of things that we didn't like without charging. They seemed to be pretty competitive on price. more

Mr. G responded to my phone call promptly. We arranged to met shortly after 4 that day and when when I got home about 4:10 he was there and had already assessed the problem...then he also checked inside garage attic to find the leakage into the attic there near chimney. He gave an estimate and since he had a good rating on Angie's list I decided to go with him (I did not get bids because there were water spot on my family room ceiling and I was afraid of a big storm--which we had about a week after he got repaired.) We had experienced a failure of a roof vent system in 2008 and had extensive drywall damage and had the roof replaced by a neighbor who is now out of business...so I may have future concerns.I wanted to wait a bit to watch to see if I had a bigger spot, but I think it has been fine since his repair. I will call him again as I do have other concerns. I referred the co. to my son John and also to my secretary whose daughter had them do work at her home as well. I was VERY pleased! My repair was complete in about a week...he had to order shingles and we had to wait over the weekend. Thank you! more

I am extremely happy with their performance and their professionalism. I have an old house and there was a problem getting the old gutters off the first time and a hole where a squirrel could get in. They informed me of the problems, got my ok and fixed them without additional charges. They go the extra mile and their work is excellent. more

It went very well, and he was very knowledgeable. His work is of high quality. He replaced a roof that had just been installed and was leaking, and he fixed the problem. He really went above and beyond to meet my expectations.When I was getting quotes from several roofers, he was the only one to offer to tarp the top of the roof to protect the house from further water damage. He didn't even have my business, and yet he was still willing to offer this to me. more

From the initial call to completion, I was very pleased with the service. The woman in the office was very friendly and I felt confident from the start I would get good service. Someone came out quickly and looked at the problem, both inside and out. The bid came in $100 lower than another estimate I received (plus they offered an Angie's List discount). The workers came out the next week and, in fact, worked in the evening to get the job done. I would highly recommend them. more

Process was very professional. Sales person came to the house, took photos of the roof and trouble spots to confirm we needed a new roof, then briefed us on options including clever new roof vents with eave air intakes to provide attic ventilation. Their bid was in the middle of two others, but their thoroughness and attention to detail was what convinced us to go with EBS. We expected the work to take 2.5 to 3 days...actually did it in a day and a half. Work crew was courteous, quiet, and attentive to the shrubs. Clean up was outstanding with a couple of follow ups to ensure they got all the nails and trash. All in all a very satisfying experience. And the roof vents really work...we can tell the difference: on hot days the a/c doesn't run constantly like it used to and the upstairs is noticeably cooler. Thanks EBS more

Came up with a solution for a gutter problem that I have had for many years. Installed a new down spout and rerouted old gutters. Also replaced 3 cap shingles on the roof. Did a great job for a reasonable price. more

I had a persistent roof leak, that had started attracting Carpenter Ants. I sat down on a Saturday morning calling numerous roofers, only a hand full responded. Tony not only called back but stopped by the same day and fixed right away. I am very happy with work that was done. more

Called for an estimate on leak repair in our roof. Estimator was very punctual and did an excellent job identifying problem, explaining problem and showing pictures of the problem. Asked about installation of a solar tube which he said he would include with the estimate of the roof repair. Estimate came within the week. Took numerous calls to get a date for repairs to be done. I know the ordering of the solar tube delayed things but once they were reminded about the leak in the roof they sent Mike out promptly to fix the plumbing stacks. Mike was great. He got right to work and communicated everything done. Other than no more leaks you could not tell Mike was here. Everything was cleaned up! Once the solar tube came in Mike was right out. Again, he did a great job. He was very excited about the installation of the solar tube which was fun. We are very happy with the solar tube and are thinking about having another one installed....by the same company! more

They are done with the roof and that went great. It has been very easy to work with them on timing (they came two weeks earlier than expected and called a day ahead to let us know) and other arrangements. We are very pleased. Everyone has been very nice and professional. more

We had an extremely positive experience. We called EBS at first thinking we needed a repair. Anthony was prepared to repair the roof, but was candid that our roof was of terrible quality and we were just sticking our finger in a crack in the dam. Anthony gave an incredibly competitive bid, and was very patient with all of our questions. more

EBS was so responsive to our small projects. They made sure that someone came out quickly to fix the fascia so it would not get worse with the continued forecast for storms and wind. I was really impressed by this. Further, Anthony came to fix our roofing for the ice-damming himself to make sure we did not wait too long for that repair. more

Their quote is for $3800. I found them on Angie's List. So far I have not had any problem with them. I think they have been accurate. Everybody can be nice upfront but need to wait and see what happens when they do the roof. I will consider them in the future. more

Leo, the co-owner, was very thorough. Actual work performed took longer than anticipated. A few minor issues were corrected promptly by crew supervisor. Leo was helpful in ensuring satisfaction. I would recommend them to a friend. more

They reinstalled my 3 skylights, re-roofed around them and installed the rest of the necessary items to make them water tight on our two story house. They also re-roofed the sides of my mansard roof and installed flashing. We had competent and quick workers, professional workmanship and clean up. I just cant say enough good things about these people. more
