Finally: ""The Perfect Portrait"" 6/30/2010

My project is to build an e-portfolio that will include the ""perfect portrait"" which communicates my best image and speaks competitive advantage. I am building my professional portfolio to celebrate my upcoming Ph.D. achievement and searched the nation for a competent photographer. A friend from Chicago recommended Todd Rennels: owner and operator of Expressions photography studio in Glen Ellyn, IL outside of Chicago. Todd is highly engaged in his art and obviously blessed with abundant talent. I finally found an artist for my project's successful outcome. I flew to Chicago (from Fort Myers, FL) and met Todd at Expressions photography studio. The experience was amazing! Todd's leadership, direction, confidence building measures, and professionalism are an inspiration. OK ... the results: the portrait images are absolutely excellent. The lighting, the focus, the digital enhancements and the image depiction are exactly perfect and exceed my expectations. Todd Rennels is a nationally acclaimed photographer with tremendous talent and experience. Go for it! Do it right the first time. Sharp Shooter 6/23/2010

From the outside Expressions blends in a bit and looks like it might be a bit cramped, but once you walk in the front door you are amazed at the space and look of this loft like studio filled with amazing photography and urban feel. I met professional photographer,Todd Rennels, through mutual business associates and couldn't wait to use his services. He is down to earth, patient and clearly talented. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking to find a true professional and genuine person to do business with. I look forward to doing business with him for years to come. Have tried cheaper and different, never again. Todd and his staff are the best and make use of your time with children, dogs, and families. His work is truly professional and creative. Would never go anywhere else. Has digital service for convenience and quick return on photos. Very flexible. One of my tops for best vendor list. Pros: Best Kid Photography more

I searched extensively for a studio that not only took great photos but had some kind of positive reputation. I have no problem spending money for quality and good service. I found Expressions Photography on my search and called them. From the first phone call I knew I had found a great place. After I hung up I looked even further into them and found these great reviews. I have since had my maternity session photographed as well as my new little girl at 3 weeks and I have to say they are every bit as good as I had hoped and read about. Just a wonderful time and real, honest service. I could tell it was a very busy time (xmas) when we took our baby's newborn pictures, but the photographer took all the time we needed and made me feel so comfortable. He even warmed the satin that he wrapped her in with a hair dryer. It was a very cold day. Thank you Expressions for a job well done. We will be back for her 3 month baby photos soon. Studio is awesome. Totally pro. 3/14/2008

I was a model for years and now have my kids in the business. We were referred to this studio by our current agent. We go at least twice a year for updates. I love this place. They are so professional yet really cool. My kids are 6 and 9 and they love going there for shoots.The studio is kinda hard to find, a lot of one-way streets, but once your there it's great. Parking right out front, shopping and restaurants within a few blocks and the price is soooo reasonable compared to other pros who work in the modeling industry. Customer for life 4/29/2007

We chose Expressions Photography based on their reviews and our experience was every bit as good as we hoped. We had our first baby in January and took her to Expressions for her newborn session. She was 3 weeks old and we were amazed at the ability of the photographer to capture her in such a perfect way. The finals prints were breath taking and we are scheduled for her next session with them already. The studio is awesome. They have changing tables and a toy room with videos and yet it still looks like a really hip loft. The staff was easy going and professional and we felt welcomed right away. The one thing that surprised us was there was no pressures. We had to change her diaper and feed her and our photographer Todd, he owns the studio, gave us all the time we needed. Choosing our favorites was the only thing that was hard to do. Todd was very helpful with our final choices and we were under no pressure to purchase a lot. more

Talent abounds 6/27/2006

I have been a client of Todd Rennels long before he opened his current studio, Expressions Photography. Without a doubt, one of the nicest, talented and creative people I have had the pleasure to work with. His photography work shines as well as his ability to make average people like me and my family look like models. If your looking for a photographer that delivers, from the service to the final photographs, then Todd Rennels and Expressions Photography is your only choice. Fantastic photographer 3/12/2006

We have been using Expressions Photography for many years and all our friends and neighbors use them as well.
