more than just a cool building 8/17/2005

Exploration Place is a fun and education hands on museum that can be fun for kids as well as interesting for the adults. The architecture of the building is stunning, and takes command of the Arkansas River. Don’t forget to take a walk outside of the museum; there is a lot of original and fun play equipment. more

Don't waste your money on Exploration Place 8/6/2005

I thought the exploration place was a waste of money. Yeah, of course I found some things interesting but I think it's geared more towards 5 year old kids. The prices really do add up to. For my family to do just the exhibits only would cost $30, and that's for a family of 4. If you want to do anything else it sure does add up. Plus you know if you have kids they don't understand and want to do everything they can and it's hard to say no. I think the zoo would be a better idea because there are more things to keep everyone entertained for a long period of time. Plus I think you would learn so much more. But of course it's your choice so you be the judge. :) more

AMAZING for the entire family... 8/5/2005

Exploration place is Wichita's newly designed science center. This is seriously the best thing to happen to Wichita since -- we were blessed with the Ruben Studdard performance at the 2003 Riverfest. Exploration Place is a great place for the entire family. Offering everything from flight simulators to state-of the art weather facilities. The kids can even get on the evening news, as ksn broadcasts from the weather station directly out of Exploration Place. This is a place that the family could spend an entire day at ...
