A tech came out to check my freezer and he claimed the thermostat needed to be replaced. I gave him a $100 cash deposit with the understanding that he'd be back in 4 or 5 days. Two weeks later they still hadn't showed up so I called. A second tech came out and I questioned the process the first tech had used to diagnose the ""problem"" because it didn't happen again. The second tech said there was nothing wrong and perhaps the ice dispenser door had stuck partially open; he wrote up the work order indicating such. I expected a refund of my $100, maybe less a reasonable amount for a service call although their ad states there is no charge for the service call. I spoke directly with the owner, Serge Ivanov. He refused to refund my $100 because his service order states ""No Refunds."" In other words, they can lie to you and keep your deposit. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They never responded to the complaint. I have since learned that they have an ""F"" rating with the BBB. Apparently, I'm not the only one who has been ripped off by Expert Service.
