I love what they do with my hair. Somewhat pricey, but in my opinion, worth it, especially if you have difficult hair (curly, unruly, etc). Great customer service too.

Outrageously expensive but I have yet to find any one else as good 10/1/2006

I went to Evolutions once and have since tried three other less expensive salons for trims on the same style. I have paid between $20 and $50 at the other salons and, while they have given me the same basic shape and style, the cut just isn't the same. I don't know what Evolutions did that made the cut so much better, but my hair always looked amazing. Even when I didn't do anything with it. PROS: CONS: $90 for a haircut; owner and staff are a little aloof more

Very dissapointed 9/9/2006

I recently relocated to Pasadena and it is always hard to find someone that would your hair as you want it. Based on the reviews I came across online I thought this salon would be extraordinary. My experience was far from that. The stylist (cannot remember his name) didn't stop pushing me to buy their products even when I politely told him that my budget was tight due to my recent move. I was in shock when I was charged $90 for just a haircut! HUGE MISTAKE! more

friendly, competent and somewhat expensive 9/13/2005

I didn't have to wait and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They understood what I wanted and cut my hair just right. I have somewhat difficult hair and have in the past had problems getting a decent haircut. Evolutions (Herb) handled it professionally. They are definitely on the expensive side, but a bad haircut isn't worth what you might save. more

Attentive 7/9/2005

Extremely attentive staff. They listen well and seriously take into account what -you- want. Sometimes this makes it hard to be creative with hair, but they also offer really good advice. I recommend this place for normal, work-style hair styles. more

Evolutions 6/23/2005

I went here a few years ago when I decided I wanted to change my image. Obviously I was nervous, as anyone would be about getting a drastic haircut. I explained what I thought I wanted, but left room for the hairstylist to make suggestions. I have difficult hair, and I didn't know if what I wanted would work well or be a complete disaster. She was good about explaining the style she thought would work best, and after she was done, I was very pleased with the results. I also really enjoy the atmosphere. They offer you a variety of beverages, such as a latte or cappuccino. The prices are similar to what you would pay at any nice salon. more

worst experience! 1/25/2004

Do not go here! A trim for $50, part highlights (not full) for $150, I was quoted $80 over the phone. When it was time to pay up, the hairdresser said that it was more because it was my wedding day!!! Cons: high prices, unreliable more
