This wonderful museum in Central New York is housed in a building designed by I.M. Pei. The museum's specialty are temporary exhibitions, along with presentations by art experts from all across the United States. The museum's focus is on contemporary art, so lover of earlier works should be warned. For lovers of modern art, however, the Exhibitions are well presented.
Another great feature of the museum is the fact that promotes an artistic community through events and trips, like the Glimmerglass Opera Day Trip, a great success.
And, since the museum is free, it definitely falls under the "bargain" category.
