This is probably the best shop in Portland. The #1 reason is because the guys who work there are awesome and they have very good selection. Their price is superb. Hard to beat ...

Worst

The two guys who run the counter are those people that I wish were now unemployed. Rip off artists with no talent. What kind of idiot would hire such losers?

Impressive & Patience 3/6/2011

I recently went in to have them help assess/diagnose a problem with my garden and they nailed the problem and provided me a solution that changed my plants from being near dead to healthy again. I truly appreciate your patience with my problem and I am grateful for the solution you provided me. CalMag does miracle when plants are deficient in it. Thank you again evergreen. more

Positive First Experience 3/5/2011

I had an overwhelming positive experience visiting this business this past weekend doing research for my first hydroponic garden. The young man Christian was very friendly and patiently answered the myriad questions I had. I got a very good discount of 25% for many of the products and 30% off others. The price I receive were basically online prices without the online waiting hassle. I would recommend this business to my friends. more

A friend took me hear to shop last Wednesday. Good customer service by the rep Todd. I can't believe how many products are available to grow some tomatoes. These guys seem to have it all. I've found my new hobby. more

Good Trusting Business 3/3/2011

I've been shopping at this shop for about two years now and have never had a bad experience with them. The owner is a straight up American Patriot military vet who served over 20 years in the Navy. He is very selective with his employees. I know this because I have tried to get employment with him. This shop doesn't rip off anybody. They have the best price around Portland. You many find an item here or there that someone may have lowered to attract you in but overall once you have filled your basket with everything you need you will find Evergreen has the best price all around. How do I know? I have shopped elsewhere from time to time to compare prices but these guys beat out the rest so I don't even waste my time shopping around like I used to. These guys will take care of their customers and they always have the products I need in stock. This business is a good business because genuinely good and sincere people run this business. more

Best Hydroponic Shop Around 3/2/2011

I found this shop through google search engine and decided to give them a try seeing they have mostly good feedbacks. I am very happy that I did as these guys saved me a bunch of money and treated me like a real person. The young man who helped me was Jordan. Had a good experience 2/25/2011

Went in to turn my ballast for repair. I was expecting for them to ship it in and have to wait for it to be repaired. In stead they just gave me a new one. I was thinking of buying on so my garden would have lighting but instead I didn't have to worry about spending money and I went home with a new ballast. Sweetness! more

They carry my favorite line of nutrients: Advanced Nutrients. Grow big flowers in your garden with Advanced. Oh... they give discounts. Very good discounts. more

Outstanding store 2/22/2011

This is an outstanding hydro store. I would go out on the limb and say it is the best one in the region but I have not shopped at every store yet. So for the time being... I can say it is the best shop I have shopped at in Portland so far. I have little doubt there will others who will come around that is better in one way or another. My scema is based on experience with american agriculture, everybody's garden (who's defunct now), and home grown. I don't really have anything bad to say about the other shops but I can say I like this shop better among the ones I have shopped at so far. more

World Class Shop 2/21/2011

This shop is a step about the rest that others try to emulate. I've been growing for about 10 years and have visited many shops. I don't give my loyalty to any particular one. I like to mix things up and shop at different places so I don't run into the same people. Just security. If I had to pick one shop to go to all the time this one would be the one. I don't really interact with shops. I just go in to get what I need then go home. Most shops are amicable. This one is no different but their selection and atmosphere is a world apart from the rest. more

Unlike other shops I've been to where they're so impersonal and seems to stare at me funny because perhaps of the way I dress. This shop actually treats me like a human being and ask if I need help. I didn't need any but their genuine interest was enough for me to keep coming back to shop with them. This is a well oiled machine with good-ass price! more

Great Shop! 2/14/2011

After reading the negative review about this shop I just had the urge to provide a substantive feedback (unlike those negatives with no substance, as if it was somebody hating on the business).\r \r I've been shopping here for over a year now and have met and talked to just about every employees. I'm normally the guy who shows up right before closing but never do they ever rush me or try to push me up even though I know I'm keeping them there a little late. For that, I wish they were opened a little later for my selfish reasons. \r \r Anyways. This is a great shop. They have everything you can think of to set up a an indoor garden. Their price is good. Believe me, I am a thrifty shopper and have shopped around. These guys hire only good people, there are only a handful of employees and I have talked to all of them over the years. Just like Home Depot, for the most part you know what you need but on occasions you may have to go to their employee to help locate an item or find out more
