Evergreen Chalet

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Miriam and George Mozes and their Staff at Evergreen Chalet. For the past two years Evergreen Chalet has been my shoulder to lean on during the extensive and challenging care of my parents. My mother had Alzheimer's disease and my dad had dementia and I was alone in caring for them. I had my parents in several assisted living facilities that never could meet their needs completely over the years until I found Evergreen Chalet. They cared for my mother so I could have my dad at home in my care for almost a year before I needed Evergreen Chalet's help with him. Most of us want to stay at home and yet sometimes round the clock care is needed. Evergreen Chalet provides a homelike setting with compassionate care to both the residents and their families. They really do ""treat you like family"" as their slogan says. Not only did they take excellent care of my parents, but made me feel like family too. There was even a time when my mother had to go to the hospital when I was out of town and they kept in constant contact with me and even went with her and stayed by her side to make sure she was being well taken care of. I cannot tell you how comforting that was for me! Silverado Hospice became involved with both of my parents during their last weeks and Evergreen Chalet worked side by side with them. The entire experience gave me confidence that my parents were getting the best care possible during a very difficult and sad time for me. I agree completely with the other reviews by Ms. Hughes and Mr. Seely. I experienced the same wonderful support and love that they write about too. The home was always clean, organized and peaceful no matter what time I visited, day or night. There was always good food cooking in the large open air kitchen, beautiful views outside of all the large windows in the home and the individual bedrooms felt like home. If your loved ones can't stay at home, to me this is the next best thing. Thank you George, Miriam and staff, I will always remember your kind and loving care. more

Our mother spent her final years in the care of the compassionate caregivers at Evergreen Chalet. George, Miriam and their staff took every opportunity to provide for her needs, and because she was almost deaf, took the extra step while communicating with her to get close enough so she could see what they were saying. Her medical needs were always carefully provided, and we could rest easily if we needed to be away from town. George and Miriam were always easy to contact and they never hesitated to call any of us if something needed to be discussed. When our mother was taken to the hospital for her final days, they still came to visit her there. They took the time to sit with a resident during her final hours because there was no family around and they would not leave her alone. We would recommend Evergreen Chalet to anyone who wants a very special home for their loved ones. more

George and Miriam, ...Four months ago, I had never even heard of you or Evergreen Chalet. Now? I'll never forget you. You know, there are times in life that touch the deepest part of one's soul. Perhaps in time of loss, I am more susceptible to airing out my feelings. But you two have touched my soul indeed even perhaps as never before. Your humanity is like none I have ever witnessed. I thank you, thank you and thank you again. You were God's blessing to my Dad, me and Kathy, my sister Leone, and our entire extended family.
