Eva's Mexican Food Restaurant

I went with a party of 12 to the new Eva's (pinal) on a Saturday night. Didn't have reservations, and you could tell that even though they were busy, they really tried to make accommodations for us. We wanted to have dinner and watch a concert they were holding in their patio. It took a bit to get our food but everything came out great. The main thing was the manager we dealt with was attentive and professional and really addressed all our needs. I was so happy that we were able to have a great dinner, in a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance, and have an event right outside. The concert was lovely and we were able to spend about 5 hours there. There are not many places that have the ability to serve, and entertain. We really enjoyed ourselves. It is so easy to go out to a chain and have a generic experience but it was wonderful to meet the owner and have a tour and get the history of everything in that restaurant. You really felt you were part of their family. Eva's is ahead of its time and with time they will be PERFECT. This review is on the new location on Pinal in Casa Grande. We had a groupof 24 and had called several days in advance so they were all set up for us. The problems started soon after we arrived, when they had only 1 waitress for the whole group. She did her best, but it was not done right. Several of the orders were cold when served. It was 5:30 on a Wednesday, and they were already out of some things. The food was not as good as their other location on Sunland Gin road, and was not well presented. Cost was okay, but are group said they would not go back. The 3 people that ordered soup said it was not hot, and lacked flavor, and it was brought out with their meal. This is the fourth group I know of that have tried this new location and only 1 of those was happy.....sort of bad for a new location.
