The first word that comes to mind when we think about our experience with Evantine Design is WOW!!!!!!!! We had seen pictures of their work prior to our first meeting and were blown away by their unique design and creativity. There are no words to express what we felt when we walked into our first design meeting in their showroom. We knew right there on the spot that Evantine Design was our ONLY choice. From the moment we set foot in their door, we were impressed with how they designed their own space with sophistication and warmth. We could only imagine the endless design options they could do for our wedding! Working with Brian at Evantine has been such a wonderful experience. What can we say???? Evantine did my daughters wedding this past May and it was spectacular! It was such a pleasure to work with them and they did everything they could to make the day special for us. We truly got it right when we hired them for flowers. Their passion for what they do is so evident in how they manage to get every detail covered leaving no stone left unturned. Later in the process we figured out we were over out heads and we hired Melissa to finish the planning. What a phenomenal job Evantine did on my wedding! Over a year later people are still talking about the flowers. I had one person tell me that I have ruined weddings for him because he will never again see so much beauty in one wedding. From my gorgeous bouquet of coral peonies to the most exquisite arrangement of the same peonies for the seating card table to the breath taking chuppah and the entire floral decor. Evantine Design and Brian Kappra are the most creative and most talented team that I have ever met! I used them for my wedding in Philadelphia, after they were recommended by several friends! Oh my God! Their place is truly amazing. As soon as you walk in the door to their studio and warehouse, you know you have step away from the rest of the pack and found something truly special. The options they present are endless and they were very sensitive to our budget. Not only that, but they were so nice to work with. My mother and I did not exactly agree on every detail, but Brian took great pains to make sure that each of our demands were met. He is beyond belief. I can't wait until my next big party. It's so fascinating to read other people's reviews - particularly when it's surprising to see one so contrary to your own positive experience. Not only did Brian Kappra, the owner of Evantine, provide beautiful flowers for my wedding last fall, but their inhouse event planner, Melissa Paul provided my fiance and I with such personal attention and exceptional guidance that we have Evantine working on my law firm's summer retreat, our annual holiday party, and now my step daughter's wedding in 2008. So it goes to show you, not everyone can experience every event professional the same way, or ""click"" with them as they wish to. Sure, Evantine can be the most expensive, but they also don't play games. You know from the moment you walk into their office that they're the best, and like everything else rated the ""best"" in this world --- it costs money. All I can say is that our experience was profoundly fulfilling and exceeded all of our VERY high expectations. Would I recommend them? I wouldn't recommend ANYONE else, that's for damn sure. But do what we felt compelled to do, meet with one or two florists, and THEN go meet with Brian Kappra. But bring your checkbook, because once you meet Evantine you won't be going anywhere else. I searched high and low for a wedding planner and designer for my wedding last fall at The Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. Not only were Brian Kappra and Melissa Paul two of the most creative and talented people I have ever met, but they were also a dream to work with! Every little detail was considered and provided, all within the budget that I gave to them. Their studio and warehouse are incredible and are filled with the most beautiful and unusual items for parties! Granted, Evantine Design is not a budget florist, but if you can affored them, there is no one better. My parents were so thrilled, that they have hired Evantine for my sister's wedding next year! My photos and my video only confirmed my memories of the day and how beautiful it was. Cliff Mautner photography and Tim Sudall videography captured each and every gorgeous detail and I am so glad! My family hired Evantine Design to decorate our wedding. We asked if he could do a nice job for a cerain budget and he said yes. So we put down a deposit until he was to give us the itemized contract at what the company calls a ""black box"" event. Well, they put this off as late as possible and five weeks before our wedding, showed us what they intended to do for our center pieces and decor which came out to over double the amount we had budgeted for the event! What made it worse, is that the plastic centerpiece vases were just rentals!!\r Melissa Paul, a wedding planner we had hired merged with Evantine design midway into our wedding planning. After we refused to sign with Evantine, she backed out of her contract a month before the wedding. So a month before the wedding, no planner and no decorator but somehow we were better off.
