C.A.R.E for the Evanston Animal Shelter.
C.A.R.E. is an all volunteer organization that works in conjunction with Evanston's municipal Animal Shelter to find homes for the abused and abandoned animals that are brought to the shelter. Since our inception in 1987, C.A.R.E. has been responsible for the adoption of thousands of dogs and cats that would have otherwise been euthanized. C.A.R.E. provides medical treatment and conducts all adoptions for the shelter animals.Without the gratis participation of C.A.R.E. volunteers, it would probably be necessary once again to euthanize the majority of animals brought to the Shelter -- because of insufficient salaried personnel to care for them and insufficient dollars to continue the programs and services that C.A.R.E. itself now funds. Your participation as a C.A.R.E. volunteer or financial supporter WILL make a difference. To see if you qualify and for more information please call or visit our website today!
