Evans Hairstyling College

I've been going to Evans Hairstyling College for years and have had nothing but great experiences. The prices are great to be able to get my family of six all dolled up. I go in every few months and change up my hair color and cut. My highlights and color has always come out with the expectations I have. The cuts for my whole family, 3 girls and 3 boys are always well done and the staff is very good at checking and our cuts. I have noticed how the Evans' and the staff are very informative to their students as they explain how to do a procedure and how to be more detailed and precise in their education and completion of a service. My daughters and I go in pretty regularly for manicures and pedicures and it is a very inexpensive way to enjoy time being girly! I enjoy getting to know the girls and they are always so friendly and professional, I'm sure it is because the Evans' teach them how to be quality cosmetologists and professional. The girls at Evans, get mistreated teachers yelling at them while the client is sitting right there. I understand it is a school but the girls work 6 hours a day bringing in money for the Evans. Most of the time, the place is packed with customers. \r As a student you do get a lot of practice, but even then you might not get a client with an A-line so you don't get to practice the hair cut, unless you remember that one time at the beginning of school when you cut hair on a manikin. They teach a lot about the older generation hairstyles. They don't teach the up to date stuff.\r The teachers almost act irritated when they have to come check your work. They play Favorite and it is noticeable. One day they will tell you, you can't wear bobby pins but the next day, 5 girls have their bobby pins showing and they don't do anything about it. you can't wear your hair in a ponytail, bun or scrunchy. \r I think the Evans are nice people outside of their school. \r They almost over prepare you for more

I have never been to such an amazing place before. Mr. Evans is a genius!! He supervised every cut, though each girl was awesome alone! I love them so much I go there all the time and just let them do whatever they feel like. They cut or color my hair to my fashion style, my face shape, my personality, everything. I love them! I have never gotten a bad style ever. I recently moved to NC and I am planning on going back to visit in 2 weeks, and I will be going to Evans for a day of beauty for sure! They also do amazing spa treatments! Since it is a beauty college, the prices are practically free! This place is world class!! more
