A full retraction of my original comments. 2/28/2008

I am writing to make a full retraction of my original derogatory statements regarding Evans Glass and the install they originally performed on my house. I am making this retraction because Matt Flath, the general manager at Evans Glass, after reading my comments online, reached out to me in order to try and solve the stated issues. He personally drove out to my house, inspected the install and agreed there were serious problems that required attention and was more than willing to go the extra mile and make things right. He also apologized for the unpleasant customer service I had received, assuring me it would never happen again. I really appreciate the effort he made and the level of customer service I received and I believe Matt should be commended for this. In summary, here are the items Matt?s install team did, at no cost to me, to fix the problems: Pros: Always willing to make things right! more

Avoid Evans Glass by all means 2/23/2008

We had 4 windows replaced which also included a slider onto the back deck. The slider looks as though they tried to squeeze it into an area it was too large for. It looks very unlevel and the window itself now has spots on the inside which are unreachable. The living room window was not properly caulked and damage was done to the sheetrock surrounding the window. The patch job is just that - patched with rough bumpy edges which do not match the rest of the wall at all. Other windows are not level and they are very shabby looking. Avoid this company if you want a quality job done. After calling this company numerous times, I was told the person I dealt with was no longer there and there's nothing they can do since the inspection was never done. THEIR inspection was not done because THEY NEVER came back!! Then this person had the nerve to ask me if I needed anymore windows installed??!! Cons: quality of work more

Avoid this company 7/20/2007

We purchased replacement windows for our entire house from Evans Glass. The installation job was sloppy, damage was done to almost every windowsill, caulking inside and out was improperly done and in the case of one window, one side wasn't caulked at all. Caulking on the outside was smeared on places that weren't even near a window. The master bedroom window leaked. It was later reinstalled but was out of square and difficult to open. Customer service personnel were rude, surly and unhelpful. Management never returned our calls. I strongly recommend not using Evans Glass. Pros: No pros Cons: Damage to house, extremely poor installation, rude and surly customer service more
