I moved to Charlotte in 1982 and have always owned German cars. There are a number of quality, independent, foreign car service centers here, but Eurowise is simply the best. First off, I was totally impressed with the quality of workmanship. Every visit I see the quality and precision of their work. Secondly, I really appreciate honesty. Mike has several times steered my away from expenses I didn't need, and proposed less expensive alternatives. Wow. Thirdly, prices at Eurowise are far less than at the dealerships (of course), but also substantially less than other independent auto shops. And, finally, I find Mike and his entire staff friendly, courteous, and helpful. Its rare to find people these days who love what they do and are proud of their workmanship. I recently found Eurowise on Citysearch and was impressed by all the positive feedback left on the site. I was reluctant to leave the mechanics I've trusted my VW with for the past 5 years but figured I'd take a risk and give these guys a shot. I was extremely impressed yesterday after the work was done promptly and at a fraction of the cost of those ""other"" guys. Every year after tax rebates I ask for a THOROUGH overhaul to check every detail and repair anything that needs attention to keep the old girl running. As you can imagine, this would be the perfect opportunity for any mechanic to conjure up a laundry list of problems and jack up the bill! Not the case here...these guys were honest, straightforward and helped me understand exactly what was going on and what needed to be fixed. They even pointed out a couple ways to SAVE me money with issues that previously cost an arm and a leg. Needless to say, Eurowise has gained my trust and respect. New to the area, I have taken my 10-year-old Audi (~90,000 miles) to Euro-Wise twice recently. The first time was for regular service and the second time was for a repair. Both times they have delivered super fast, super low-priced, convenient and friendly service. They know Euro auto repairs and maintenance inside and out, and offer equally great service for both customers needing non-dealer service or customers needing performance mods and installs. Came in for maintenance after a friend recommended the place. If you have an audi you will not regret going here instead of the dealership. They specialize in German cars and use the proper parts. If you go to the dealership they will rip you off and make up nonexistent problems to ""repair"". This place does the same job for cheaper with the same quality. First and foremost, these guys are very knowledgeable, intelligent and passionate about their business. I am glad I found them. I moved from the midwest and had a great mechanic out there for my BMW. I am relieved to have found a similar place here in Charlotte. On my recent visit there, I brought in some suspension bushings and o2 sensors I bought online. They installed these while I waited and was done before noon. The labor charge was much less than other shops in the area. All the guys at Eurowise are awesome, especially Mike. I recently had some ""major problems"" with my passat, that the VW dealer in town quoted me $2,000 to fix. I took the car to Eurowise, Mike fixed the ""minor problem"" for $400 and worked late that day so I could get my car early the next morning. Very professional and honest. A real gem! Was told by another import shop that my exhaust manifold was cracked and would cost about $1000 to replace. A friend told me about Eurowise so I gave them a try. They were friendly and knowledgeable. After looking at my Audi they found the real problem and fixed it for under $300. It's nice to find an auto shop that is honest AND does great work! From now on my car goes to Eurowise! If anyone wants to get raped go to those to automotive dealers but if you want your wallet to stay fat and your car running good, I suggest Eurowise to everyone German Automotive Owner. Eurowise brings to the table a vast knowledge of service for all European brands, but I've even asked them tips on my 81 CJ5 Jeep.\r \r They set me up for new wheels/tires on my new BMW 335. Did excellent work at a competitive price. These guys knew I was serious about balancing, weight etc. since I do occasionally track/autocross the car. They did everything perfectly.
