Worst Customer Service EVER! 5/8/2012

I'm appalled at the customer service I received here. This business is a sham and they don't even deserve the one star. Sure, they offer competitive prices, but they will sell you old, defunct parts and whatever they fix on your vehicle is sure to fall apart within the 12 year warranty. At which point they will conniving-ly deny you the warranty. Not to mention, they are slow on repairs. Moral of the story... You get what you pay for. Pay a little extra for quality service, elsewhere! more

Exceptional Customer Service by Brett 9/9/2011

It is truly difficult to find quality customer service these days. I am here to rant and rave about the unique experience I had at European Car Imports today. I was in a pinch, and couldn't quickly and efficiently locate a part for my 96 Honda Accord. I was referred by a colleague of mine to check out European Car Imports, because of a top notch manager, Brett. I called over there, talked with Brett about my needs, and 15 minutes later he called back, saying the part was in the shop. ""No Way!"" I said. I dropped by after work, and much to be disbelief, it was there. Amazing. Brett took the time to explain to me the part, how to properly put it back on my car, and any other pertinent information regarding my vehicle. I was truly blown away and so happy that I checked this place out. If you need efficient, comprehensive, and accelerated assistance with your vehicle, you are crazy if you don't use this place. Talented, courteous service isn't just a bonus at European Car Imports, its a everyday event. Thank you Brett and your fabulous team. ! more

European Import Car Repair 3/13/2011

A few weeks ago I went to European Import Car Repair to get my passenger side window fixed. The whole experience was acutally very smooth and Brett was very knowledgable. My car was in and out within the same day and the cost was very competitive. Thanks again! and I'll be going back! more

What a Gem!! 3/8/2011

I took my car to European Import Car Repair on 3/7/11; the staff there was very pleasant. I had several questions about the repair and cost, Brett answered all of them and was right on the money with the cost. There were no surprises at the end, as there are always hidden fees with most repair shops. I hope I don’t have any more issues with my car but if I do I will be back. Thank you for your help and timely repair. more

Very questionable practices. 10/26/2010

Had taken my car to repair transmission gasket issue. After a year it started leaking again. Had to have my car towed back to them. They provided free labor to fix the problem again. Had them change the oil that cost me $170 which I thought was ridiculous since they don't tell you ahead of time. Negative experience so far. A few days later, my engine light turns on. By now, I decided to take my car to the dealer. Dealer tells me that during the oil change, this company had failed to put the oil filter on correctly and that I should ask for my money back. I called and talked to the manager and he started chewing me out because I did not bring it back to him. I was supposed to know that the bad oil change they performed caused my engine light to turn on. By now, I am thinking that they did it intentionally to get me back for more service charges that they can blame on something else. I will never return to this place. They need to realize that they need their customers more than their customers Need them. Can you believe he started chewing me out over their mistake. I found it hard to believe that they are that bold. more

BAD MANAGER, BAD SERVICE. 6/30/2009

I brought my porsche boxster, and got charged $2500 for replacing water pump and some other trany cleanup work. The reason I brought the car to them was because engine check light was on. It was weird to hear that water pump leaking caused the warning light on, but they claimed they fixed the problem (light was off - probably by resetting not by fixing the actual problem). Later, I had to bring my car back to dealership (by towing service) and the engine check light was on again. Dealership service dept fixed it by replacing O-rings and cylinder cap at $900. They ripped me off by replacing some parts and charged me ridiculously expensive amount of money. The manager has really horrible manner. I would never take my business to them. They are not honest, and even worse their technical level is below average. I'm looking for a way that I can appeal this case legally and will try to get my money back. Do not bring your car to here. They will rip you off. Cons: They will rip you off. more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! 6/11/2009

1 day after picking up my wife's car from here, the plastic engine cover underneath the car became unhinged. My wife was on the highway at the time, and heard a very loud scrapping noise. By the time she made it home, the plastic cover was completely ruined. The only way to make the car drivable was to remove this plastic piece. OK fine, everyone makes mistakes. When I called them up to ask them to replace this, I got yelled at the manager. Actually I got yelled at before even asking them to replace it, they started getting mad at me when I just told them what happened! This is only the second review on this site, but other sites have similar experiences. BE CAREFUL! Pros: They raise your heart rate when they yell at you Cons: They are incompetent and yell at their customers more

Finally and Honest Repair Shop 2/6/2009

I have been taking my car to European Imports for over 2 years now. I have found them to be friendly, timely and knowledgeable about the issues concerning my car. Most importantly they do not hassle you into adding unneeded services. As a female I really respect that as well as the thorough explanation of what repairs they actually did to my car so I know what I actually paid for. I would recommend them highly! Pros: knowledegable, friendly, great customer service Cons: slow but efficient more

They don't care about you! 1/12/2009

Wow I've never experieced more grief from a mechanic. I was very overcharged and my problem wasn't actually fixed. I called to ask what the next step would be to fixing my car and the guy hung up on me. I guess I 'm stuck with my broken down car and I'm out almost $1,000. Cons: Didn't fix my problem and hung up on me. more

They use to have some good Mechnics 3/21/2008

I took my 99 A4 1.8T Quattro in about 2 yrs ago due to my timingbelt tensioner pulley failing.( If your a 1.8t AEB engine owner you know all about it). Guys wouldn't use parts I supplied for the job because ""They needed to source the parts"" in laymens terms , Jackup the price! After finally getting a remanufactured head and after 3 months of waiting for a simple 10 hr job they fixed it and had it running fine but also WOULD NOT let me drive off under their warranty since my turbo bypass valve was going out and needed to be replaced/rebuilt. So again add another 2 weeks on to 3 months and they had it fixed. Needless to say I was nickel and dimed and the only reason I took it to them was because my disgust with Austin Audi. Total cost to me was about $4300. They charged me $1300 for a remn head when I looked up for parts I sourced one for $800 with a full 1 yr warranty, and they said ""They need to source the parts"" once again I guess that $4300 was an expensive mistake to learn not to take my car here. I even had more knowledge when they tried to get me to upgrade to a K04 and I kept asking what about the ECU map it will need a reflash from either APR or GIAC and even then was told it wouldn't need it. Hopefully these guys have a better crew and a manager who wants to support Austin Vw/Audi owners with quality work and fair pricing. But my past exp was a headache. I personally would have done the work myself but when I decided to grab my car all of a sudden it was taken apart the next day and I was told the mechnic broke his arm. Go figure great way to keep a customer. Pros: Location easy to have your car dropped off in their lot, when they fix something its usually done fairly well Cons: Price!!! Somewhat deceitful tactics (in the past) to not warranty their work more

Quality and fast answers to the ""2 questions"" of car repair... 10/1/2007

""When a problem occurs with the car you drive I find there are then 2 questions... \r How long? And how much? \r At European Import I found a team of knowledgeable individuals who were willing and able to offer a skilled and prompt repair service with a fair price in mind. The technicians I spoke with thoroughly evaluated my cars situation and efficiently detailed my options to me. This is opposed to other places that simply say, well here's the problem...It costs this much! Compared to other prior car repair experiences the price was most favorable and the value of the service clearly explained so I knew of the steps that had been taken to get me back in the car I enjoy. I left this experience satisfied with the price, very pleased with the service and skills of the European Import team and excited that my repair was handled with urgency and I was back on the road with confidence in my car. \r My 2 questions had been answered...""\r Pros: Fast and great service... Cons: Needing a car repair! more

A trusworthy place 9/25/2007

After some research on the net and a few phone calls and I was on the way to your shop with lots of questions in mind. The experience we had in this shop was one of the best! The professional staff and service were outstanding and we left their garage with a peace of mind for more miles on the road. Owning a ""used European"" means accepting the facts of spending some money for servicing with pricey parts. Most people may not understand this. All we need is a trustworthy place with courteous staff and less outrageous price beside the dealership. This garage did just that, what we expected and some. We will return for future service and maintenance. I found some previous comments more like personal attack with mention about mechanics appearances. I was just wonder if people care about looks or about knowledge of the working class people. This place is one of the place you can trust. more

Like 3 monkeys trying to love a football! 2/10/2007

I took my 2000 Jetta to this place to have a headlight bulb replaced. They used the wrong type of bulb, and ended up melting part of the wiring system in my car due to a short from this mistake. I had no idea what was going on, so took car to another VW repair shop in town, and they said someone either didn't dbl ck the part number, or just assumed a similar bulb would work. Same visit I had my serpentine belt replaced, and while they accomplished this, the mechanic that ended up rewiring also said it looked like someone left out some bolts from a previous job. I write this because they have a new name now, so hopefully new management, but be cautious of guys that look like rejects from Journey circa 1984 repairing a European auto!!! Pros: Water cooler and free coffee Cons: Errors in part matching, lectured by numbskull more

Good repair facility 9/30/2005

I just had my '99 Volvo's timing belt replaced at this business. The repair cost was $200 under the original estimate, the job was completed on time, and my vehicle was inspected for further maintenance free of charge. A test drive after the timing belt replacement by the business revealed an oil leak due to a faulty seal - repaired at no charge. I will return my vehicle to this business in the future. Pros: Honest, Timely, Professional more

Just not worth your money and time 2/13/2003

They don't do a good job on my audi. Spend $550 for nothing. It's just wasting my money and my time. I will try some other shop other than this one. I would not recommend this repair shop to anyone. Price is skyhigh, staff doesn't know the problem. Bad experience after all. Cons: unprofessional, Expensive, Liar more
