** Do not get lipo here or maybe even at all ** 4/19/2011

I wish there was a zero star option, but alas... All I will say is that if you decide to get Smart Lipo or Lipotherme anywhere thoroughly review all the review websites and do your absolute best to get to your ideal weight/size on your own. I had the lipotherme with lipo combo done at the same time and I see no difference. In fact, I look worse - far worse and am 11 lbs heavier than when I got down to best weight on my own accord. more

Use someone else 11/8/2010

Very bad experience...I had a 5:00 appointment and sat there for two hours. When Dr. Mandrea came in he put a very small amount of liquid nitrogen on my foot which did nothing. This ""surgery"" cost me $145.00 and was completely worthless. He had me buy a peel that did absolutely nothing. When I went to a different dermatologist I had a much better experience. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. more

An excellent and kind doctor 2/4/2010

I have suffered from acne for 12 years. I have seen Dr. Eugene Mandera 4 times in the past 8 weeks. Dr Mandrea's treatment of my face and neck has been tremendously affective. His nurse who preformed my treatment was great. The staff was courteous, helpful and polite. I would recommend Dr Mandrea, he is an excellent and kind doctor. more

Eugene Mandrea, M.D. S.C. is a dedicated doctor 9/26/2009

I am a patient that has had many bouts of Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer). My dermatologist is Dr Eugene Mandrea, whom I have seen many times over the years for this problem. I truly would never see anyone except him as he is a dedicated man that loves his profession and carries out his work with the utmost perfection. Need I say more? in my opinion, Dr. Mandrea is the best in his field and i hope he continues in good health for a long time to come taking excellent care of his patients. more

I have been struggling with acne for the better part of ten years now. I have seen countless doctors and tried everything imaginable. Nothing helped me. After researching doctors on the internet, my husband suggested I see Dr. Steven Mandrea in the Park Ridge office. Honestly, I wasn't very hopeful since I had been to so many other doctors and had not seen any significant results. Thankfully, I was wrong! Since being treated by Dr. Mandrea and the staff in the Park Ridge office (especially Sue, who is wonderful!) I have seen drastic improvement. Dr. Mandrea is very professional and really takes the time to listen. Thank you for helping me when I truly lost all hope that there was anyone or anything out there that could help. Smoothbeam laser results 7/11/2009

Since using the prescribed medication by Dr Mandrea and the smoothbeam laser, my skin is clear and the scarring is much improved. He is an excellent doctor with a convenitently located office and curteous staff. more

Liposuction 1/31/2009

I am a 32 year old mother of two and no matter how hard I tried with dieting and exercise I could not get rid of my love handles. I went to Dr Mandrea's office for a liposuction consultation. They were very informative and took the time to answer all my questions. I set up the appointment and two weeks later I had the procedure. I am thrilled with my results. My pants fit better and I feel and look like I did before having children. I highly recommend this doctor and practice for liposuction. more

Improvements 1/30/2009

Lakeview Dermatology would like to apologize to the previous posting patient for their poor experience. We want to do a better job of providing excellent dermatologic care with reasonable waiting times. To that end, we will be much more sensitive and attentive to patients requiring brief visits for suture removals so that they are seen expeditiously. more

Don't go! 1/7/2009

I went to see Dr. Mandrea and when I got there my appointment was switched to Dr. Mandrea Jr. He was nice, but most of the work was done by a resident they had - and I did not appreciate that at all. I went to get my stiches removed and the resident was the only one there that Saturday. She made me wait 45 minutes to remove 3 stiches. The whole procedure took no more that a minute and she charged me the full $30.00 co-pay for what she called a "consultation". I tried arguing with her about the $30.00 but she said that was the fee; I told her she spent less than a minute with me removing the stiches and she charged me anyway. I will never go to Dr. Mandrea's again - their staff is not friendly and they are not considerate towards their patients and their needs. They take advantage of their patients - they lost one the day they took advantage of me! Cons: The doctor does not provide the service; the resident does. more

I want to share my appreciation for Dr Mandrea and his staff for their professionalism competence and kindness. They have taken years off my face with Botox, Sculptra,and recently the Pixel Fractional Laser. Pros: excellent dermatologist, very pleasant experience, professional staff, convenient location Cons: not cheapest in town, but the results were awesome more

Love my flat tummy!! 12/27/2008

I am a 58 year old grandmother with no hips and no thighs, but I have always had a little tummy, and Dr. Mandrea made my flat tummy dreams come true! Doing liposuction was not an easy decision for me, but I went for it and have not looked back. During the consultation, Dr. Mandrea was extremely patient with my questioning and I feel he gave me realistic expectations of the results. His office staff was extremely attentive and the surgical nurse was exceptional. Dr. Mandrea is attentive, caring, and concerned about his patients. I was at work the next day and on the tennis court by the end of the week. I would recommend Dr. Mandrea and tumescent liposuction to anyone. His Park Ridge office is beautiful and convenient for us suburbanites. The compliments on my new figure haven't stopped. Now....I have him doing my botox, too! more

I love my lipo results!! 11/6/2008

Dr. Steven Mandrea performed tumescent liposuction on my thighs, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. His nurses were kind and supportive throughout the entire procedure, and Dr. Mandrea made me feel completely at ease. He answered every question I had honestly and returned my phone calls promptly. My clothes fit better; I feel better in a bathing suit; and I'm overall more confident in my appearance.\r \r I would recommend Dr. Mandrea for tumescent liposuction to anyone thinking about it. I honestly was taken aback by the previous poster's post, I couldn't be more thrilled with his office. I've been seeing Dr. Mandrea for years and have NEVER had an issue. He's the consumate professional with an outstanding bedside manner. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer dermatologist. He is genuinely concerned about your overall health and well-being, and he wants you to be thrilled with your skin. I never feel like he wants to sell me something that I don't need, but the products he does sell are great and well-priced. \r \r I would recommend Dr. Mandrea to anyone. more

Very Disappointed. 10/21/2008

I went to Dr. Mandrea's office last week for an initial consult for hair removal. I was ushered into a room where I sat waiting...only to be greeted by Dr. Mandrea Jr. who did not know if my medications even interacted with the laser, but did feel okay with allowing me to start the procedure that day - without the interaction info. Honest and trustworthy Doctor! 10/19/2008

I have suffered with acne as for a good 5 years now, after meeting with Dr. Eugene Mandrea, it was clear to me that Dr. Mandrea had my best interest at heart. He presented a me with a great line-up of procedures that work best to raise the scars that were left from my acne breakouts as well as methods to clear up any acne I still had. His level of experience is very assuring and comforting. Both Dr. Eugene and Steven Mandrea are a great team, along with the others at the office. I have had one laser treatment and punch elevations on both cheeks, I cannot thank Dr. Mandrea enough for the outcome, and most importantly my new found self esteem. An experienced, honest and trustworthy doctor is hard to find now a days, I would recommend Dr. Mandrea in a heartbeat! more
