Good: Dr Ty and his fabulous staff have nearly eliminated my anxieties over having dental work. A friendly greeting always awaits me; add gentle quality work and caring communication and you've got Etheridge Family Dentistry. I used to fear going to the dentist but now I "almost" enjoy it because we always laugh and have fun!. Bad: What I didn't like was a previous review from someone who doesn't understand that sometimes an emergency arises that the staff needs to attend to. I don't mind waiting or rescheduling if it means that someone gets the critical dental care they need!. more

In short, Ty Ethridge and his smart staff of dental pros get top kudos from our family! I’ve been to more dentists than I can count in other major cities I’ve lived in. (Sadly, my naturally straight but inexplicably cavity-prone teeth have given me little choice.) Usually, I ended up at the best of the best Dental Offices in each city after having unsatisfactory experiences with basically less good and certainly less professional Dental Practices. Point being; I’ve been around the dental chair a few more times than I care to tell. What it has given me is a keen appreciation of truly GOOD dentists – Dr Ty Ethridge being one of the very best I’ve ever experienced. I came to him nearly three years ago with several old, crumbling filings, a couple poorly done/miss-fitting crowns and a genuine need of deep cleaning. I now have pain-free, whiter, cleaner and healthy teeth. As does my husband (I’m so jealous as he has maybe two fillings ever!) who is having the Invisalign cosmetic treatment to perfect his smile. My 3-year-old daughter loves going to the dentist after her four trips thus far. His office is super kid friendly and she relates it to fun now. Though I was pleased to be altered to it early before it broke -- much to my surprise, I was alerts to a deeply cracked back tooth on my last dental hygiene appointment. A week later, I was in to get the crown fitted before a long trip I had planned. Two days later on a Friday I flossed the temp crown out accidently (whoops, forgot I was not supposed t floss that harshly there until the perm went in) and Ty Ethridge met me at his office first thing Saturday morning specially to reglue my temp crown. I mean it was so easy I was yet again impressed by this practice’s dedication and professionalism. Besides, the staff always seems very happy and upbeat. Obviously, it’s a tight, well-run ship focused on making loyal clients who will choose this office for a lifetime. more

Approximately four years ago I decided my twin girls (age 6) and son (age 2) deserved better dental care than they were getting from my dentist of many years. This started a journey that included months of research and eventually lead me to Dr. Etheridge. In brief, I couldn't be more pleased. Dr Etheridge is a highly skilled dentist. He's caring, detailed and delivers exceptional dental care for my children. In addtion to my children, I've also become a patient of Dr. Etheridge (as have several of my friends and their families). If you're looking for a dentist in the Seattle area, you should consider giving Dr. Etheridge a visit. His staff handles all the billing and insurance issues and his hygienist is the best ever. The office is exceptionally clean and offers a few perks I really appreciate ... including a play area for my kids and "in chair" movies for me (no longer do I feel compelled to carry on a conversation while my mouth is full of drills and other dental appliances). Good: The thorough and high quality of care. Dr. Ty always takes the time to explain in detail what is needed and the reasons for his desitions on how best to handle what is needed.. Bad: I have never been unhappy with Dr. Ty or his staff. Everyone in that office are so professional and at the same time very friendly and make you feel right at home. Improvements: can't think of anything I would change. His hours are even great because if you need an evening appointment his office is open a couple nigths a week until 8pm.. Other: I must say that over the years, before having Dr. Ty for my dentist, when having my teeth cleaned I would need anywhere from 5 to 7 shots of novicane just to have my teeth cleaned and after about a year of his schooling me on how to care for my teeth and his excellant care of me I No Longer need any novicane at all. He's the Best! My dental health has never been so good, and it shows too!. more

Good: Dr. Ty and the whole staff are really committed to making sure the whole experience is a good one. I've never run into any of the issues the negative review mentioned. I'm deeply afraid of going to the dentist and they've been wonderful and helped me with sedation (where appropriate) and are very clear with me about what to expect, how much it will cost, etc. I'm very pleased with this office and will continue to go here in the future.. more

Dr. Ty has been our dentist since 2000. He is a talented general family dentist, who does beautiful cosmetic restoration work due to his extensive education in the field of cosmetic dentistry. Lovely office with state of the art equipment, friendly and helpful office staff, kind and gentle hygienists. Dr. Ty serves the entire family from toddlers to grandparents with a compassionate and gentle approach. I cannot believe there would be a mediocre review on this site for this particular dental practice. It is truly the "best of the best" in the Seattle area. more

My wife had seen a bunch of recommendations for Ty Etheridge on the local mom's groups emails. Last week I broke a tooth, and since my prior dentist had gone out of practice, call Dr. Etheridge. They got me in promptly, and the whole experience was professional, highly expert, and very personable. Very skilled care both by the Dr. and his assistant, and they constantly check on how you are doing and tell you what's going on. Being able to watch a movie when in the chair for a long time is a big plus too! Obviously oriented towards serving kids too - we'll be taking our 2 year old soon! more

dont go there. they take your money and do a bad job. then they refuse to fix what they broke. what bad service and even worse accounting more

I am 33, typically fearful beyond belief by going to the Dentist and due to a recent tooth issue, I took the advice of a friend who recommended going to Etheridge Family Dentistry in Madison Park. I was immediately at ease upon meeting their wonderful staff in their gorgeous office. I have been in twice now and have been tipped over by their genuine kindness, sensitivity and thoughtfulness in an evening call to see how I was doing after both appointments. My teeth are so much nicer looking!....I have had comments on my smile since going! I have and will continue to recommend this Dentist and team to my friends and family, as my friend did for me. more

Beautiful setting in Madison Park, pleasant staff, fine dental work and PAINLESS. I watched a movie while my somewhat neglected teeth were deep cleaned, a crown reset and a new crown fabricated on site. Dr. Ty does great work. Especially recommended for kids. more

I went to Etheridge Family Dentistry about 8 months ago. Here are the results: 1. The dentistry was very bad: the filling didn't match my teeth, and their overzealous hygienist took off some enamel on one of my front teeth. I've since had another (better) dentist fix it. 2. They called me last month to demand additional payments, after I'd already paid around $600.00 and my insurance had paid around $400. Why did they call and demand more money? Because they didn't record my payments when I made them, and wouldn't stop harassing me until I dug through old bank statements and called them with the dates & amounts paid. They were rude and demanding, even though they didn't have their facts straight. more

Great family practice in Madison Valley neighborhood. Very friendly and especially very kid friendly...they have a fun alcove with books, movies and toys and lots of attention spent on making kids feel comfortable. So far have had great service from Ty (the dentist). I was looking for a close dentist for the whole family and have been very happy with our choice. more
