A small fib it is to name a store full of non-essential items, Essentials. The store carries faniful papers, stamp letters, lunchboxes, magazine racks, vintage looking grosgrain ribbon... Great finds, but better suited for gifting than stocking up. Everytime I walk in I feel like I have gone to france: the books out on the table suggest travel, their large preoccupation with Herge's Tintin, and small brown boxes that look like they might hold delightful sweet nothings. For whimsical homewares, stop here. A smart, unique shop on main.
