My husband got me an assortment of chocolates from here for Valentine's Day. While they were certainly interesting and the flavors were exotic and varied, I was by no means blown away. I had seen their website and heard about them online, and thought I should go back, give it another chance and see what all the fuss was about.\r

While all of the cupcakes, cookie bars, moonpies and other products are absolutely beautiful (and you can see this on their site, as well) -- nothing tasted as good as it looked. We tried a little of everything. I was probably most disappointed in the moonpie...it is the most gorgeouos of their products, but was cakey, with no taste in the middle whatsoever. I'm not sure what the 'marshmallow' was actually made of, but it just wasn't right. The cookie bars also just didn't taste right. We even had a piece of cheesecake...and I thought, ""Now this should be good. How can you mess up cheesecake?"" Well, they didn't mess it up, but it really was just average.\r

It also seems the business front itself is open at random times of the day, and I've often seen a ""be back in 10 minutes"" sign posted on the door for hours at a time. Finally, their site and other sites talk about the ""Babies at the Bakery"" program, but when I went to check it out, though there were children's toys around and evidence that this really did exist at one time, I was told they ""don't do it anymore."" Perhaps you should pick up the toys and stop advertising it, then!\r

Anyway, I think this place is really overrated. Definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars. Try it for yourself....but I've definitely had desserts that may not have looked as good, but certainly tasted much, much better.
Pros: Beautiful, varied assortment of desserts and chocolate
Cons: Nothing tastes as good as it looks!
