DO NOT use this clinic. Find somewhere else to be seen! Dr. L is condescending, short, jaded, & unfriendly. Very long wait times & worse - the office staff seems incompetent...

I was just able to go to the new office in Castle Rock, and it is sooo nice. If you can make it down to Castle Rock it is worth it. Lots of parking, no wait time and I was able to get in to see my doctor within the week. Thank You for coming to Castle Rock. more

I have been going to this office for a long time and have been very happy with it. The medical assistants are helpful and friendly and the front desk is great. My appointment was timely and efficient. I don't have to go to a different site for blood work and ultrasound is wonderful and spends time with each patient. Dr. L was very warm and smart and spent considerable time with me. I have and will recommend this office to others. more

WORST Office I Have Ever Experienced!\r \r This office is the absolute worst, all around. From long wait times, bad providers, dangerous practices and a horrible billing/accounting department, they are awful. I highly recommend avoiding this office. I had nothing but negative experiences. I started going here with my second pregnancy. Right off the bat, they were negative and treated me as though something was wrong with me because I was pregnant. I was assigned to a doctor (Dr. L.) who was nice enough, but didn't add much to my care. If I hadn't asked questions time and time again, I got nothing from her, even though I had complications early on. She seemed indifferent during each appointment. The ultrasound technician (who I saw several times) seemed friendly at first but quickly got defensive and downright rude when I asked her to clean her instruments which were clearly used and dirty from the patient seen before me. She snapped that she hadn't had time for that. No time to clean the wand??? And she admitted that as she was about to use it internally on me! They don't use covers on their ultrasound tools and don't soak them in any sort of sterilization solution. They get a quick wipe with a handi-wipe and then on to the next woman. Not safe at all. It makes me question their other practices.\r \r The wait times in this office can be completely unpredictable and unreasonable. At my first 3 appointments, I had to wait 30 minutes to 1 hour after my time (even when I was the first appointment of the day). No apology at all. \r \r The billing department loses payments (even when sent to them using their pre-printed mailing envelopes) and is a total mess. After I finally transferred out of the practice, I had to call several times to get my pre-payment returned (a significant amount of money), and still to this day have not seen a dime of it. They claim nobody communicates with them. The patient shouldn't be the one initiating insurance claims and managing inter-office communication.\r \r If it were just one of these items, maybe it would be worth sticking with this practice, but with all of them together, I regret that I didn't leave when I first had reservations months ago. \r \r Bottom line: Stay away! There are many other offices out there that are much better! more

I'm sorry others haven't had a pleasant experience going here, but I have been going to Esprit Woman Care for about 3 years and it has always been great. I am on my second pregnancy with them. I have never had to wait more than maybe 10 minutes for my appointments. Everyone I have dealt with - u/s tech, nurses, doctors, office staff - is always friendly and helpful. I love the doctor I see - she is always efficient, honest and kind. more

Absolutely the worst experience ever!!! When the doctor was told I was not thrilled about being pregnant, she was so intentionally rough during the internal exam that I bled heavily for three days (honestly thought I was having a miscarriage). They do not have an on-site full time person to run the ultrasound machine, so you have to schedule your appointments at their convenience (God forbid that you should work and NOT be available 24/7 to have an ultrasound done). Office staff when I informed them that I could NOT be available for 3 appointments in one week (one for ultrasound, one for regular checkup, one for bloodwork) on three different days asked if I was trying to kill my baby. Unless you are OK with being treated like nothing but a vessel to produce a child, avoid this place like the plague!!! more

I've been going here for a couple of years...I have been very pleased with the staff and doctors that I have seen. They all seem to be very concerned with my health and the health of my unborn baby. The best OB/GYN clinic that I have been to in a LONG time. Would totally recommend them. more

I went there this last Friday and the experience was great. Checking in was not bad and not long. Dr. Leman was very nice and smart. I am not a fan of these check ups and Espirit Womens Care was a very pleasant experience. I would recommend them. I was recommended to them by a woman who just had a baby and she speaks very highly of them as well. more

DO NOT use this clinic. Find somewhere else to be seen! Dr. L is condescending, short, jaded, & unfriendly. Very long wait times & worse - the office staff seems incompetent, rude, & unapologetic when they are in error - overall, they do not have it together. A lot of communication issues! Wish there was a ""Zero"" rating for this clinic. more

Wonderful care/ smart staff 11/3/2010

I was an RN and worked in a Dr's office. This is a great office and I am very happy with Dr. Schmitz. She sees me for routine visits, and preformed my hysterectomy. I have never had a problem with front office, and have always found them friendly and helpful. I have never had a problem with billing. The office is clean and updated. Rooms tastefully done. Magazines aplenty ;) I wish they kept office a bit warmer, but you see that often in clinics. My only complaint is that many Dr's have gone away from RN's and the people who do your initial intake may not have a good medical understanding. I actually watched the MA enter a diagnosis on my history that was false. I told Dr, and she corrected immediately. Just remember that for all offices and since everything is on computer, ask what it says..... be your own best advocate. Dr. Schmitz is always conversational and friendly. Spends time addressing my questions, and was good about stopping in to see me and my family in hospital. She has personally called me with lab results. I have worked at University hospitals, and private hospitals and in clinics. I am pretty picky. This is a good clinic and Dr. Schmitz is a good doctor. more

horrible experience 5/21/2008

I went to this clinic for a few years because I had a great doctor there. I had a few minor issues with the front office staff(mainly they are just rude)but continued to go there because my doctor was so great. Last month I found a lump in my breast and freaked out. I was due for a woman's exam in two months anyway and made an appointment with this place to get both things checked. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I could not get a woman's exam because the due date was two months away and my insurance would not pay for it. This was Lie #1, because my insurance has paid for multiple exams in the same year. They did not tell me this until AFTER I had paid my co-pay, AND there was a big sign by the front desk stating that any appts not cancelled 24 hours in advance would be charged $25. Since my co-pay was less I figured it would be better to stay and get the lump checked than to cancel the appt, be charged a fee and leave with nothing. When I saw the doctor, she felt the lump then proceded to tell me I had to go somewhere else to get any kind of tests done. I made it clear that I was very unhappy about this, she had just wasted my time and money to do nothing. She said I had to be evaluated by her before seeing a specialist (LIE #2 - my insurance doesn't require this). She refused to leave the room when I told her I wanted to get dressed and talked to me in a ""baby"" voice saying she was sorry I was so busy. She made an appointment for me at another clinic in a few days but gave me the wrong address so I was running around for 1/2 hour and late to my appt. A month later I got a bill saying they didn't charge me enough of a co-pay. I talked to the office manager to dispute this, who spent 1/2 hr arguing with me over $20 and said in my chart they said they gave me the option to cancel the appt. (Also a LIE). What really disturbs me is that they don't seem to see anything wrong with this and would rather argue about $20 than try to make a patient happy. Pros: nothing Cons: horrible staff, rude doctors, no way to dispute bad service more
