Especially For Children

First of all, to comment on a previous review from kristinahollie....\r \r I think this user posted under the wrong child care center. I have had my children at the Eden Prairie EFC since November of 2004 and have never met this person who posted this review. \r \r I have never had a bad experience with the Directors. If this persons children had truly attended this Center, she would have known that there are actually two Co-Directors and they are extremely helpful, loving and nurturing people! My children absolutely love this place!\r \r If you look at the staff (even on the website) you will see that many of the teachers have been there for YEARS and you can also see that many former students are now back working at the Center as student teachers themselves. I can testify to this as I use them as babysitters outside of work as well.\r \r The Center's standards are very high and they give a lot of LOVE to the children attending. There is no place better in my opinion. \r \r We have been with this Center for over six years and from day one, our children felt welcomed and cared for by the staff. They are very well organized and adapt to any special needs that your child may have. My son started Kindergarten this year and often likes to stop back in at the Center just to get ""hugs"" from his favorite teachers! \r \r There are so many great things that the Center offers, I am sure that I sound like I work there, but I don't...trust me. This school and its teachers do a great job of combining a loving, family type environment with a superb early education. Our daughter started attending when she was about 2 1/2 and now she is 5. She truly loves her teachers and I can tell they love her, too. EFC has struck a nice balance of giving the kids tons of time to ""just be kids""-- they dress up like firefighters and princesses, play with toys, play games, do art projects, read, run around outside on the playground -- plus they learn tons of real content like Spanish, sign language, computers, writing, math and social skills. The teachers are really helping us raise our daughter with love and respect. Even though I have to drive out of my way to attend this school the extra miles and cost have been completely worth it. I would send my daughter to Kindergarten here if they would offer it. The real world has real problems. Effective and respectful communication is key to solving problems. Any time we’ve had questions or concerns about our daughter the teachers and administrators have been receptive to hearing about it and constructive in helping us solve any issues. I highly recommend this center. more

We were VERY unhappy with they way some of the staff talked to the kids. Director was great on the phone but then when i expressed concern about how my son was doing to the Director she didn't listen AT ALL to my needs. She had a know-it-all attitude. Seems to have a pretty high staff turnover. I could not pull my child out of EFC fast enough. more
