One of the better places for fine dining in the area.
The appetizers are fantastic. Marinated crab claws are a very good way to start. Also, the fried shrimp appetizer can be a little pricey if hosting a big crowd, but it is perhaps the best shrimp I've ever eaten.
For an entree, the red snapper is fantastic. The trout almondine is also a very good choice. Most of the appetizers are solid. I would stick with fish or shrimp personally, however.
Desert is really a treat at Ernest's. Good luck finding a better bananas foster! Given that the waiter really knows what he's doing, I doubt you'll find any better. Bourbon pecan pie is also a very good desert choice.
Overall, the atmosphere is great. Sometimes people linger a little too long at the table and sometimes noise is a little problem. However, you sure to always have exactly what you want and need at any given time. As long as you get enjoy fish or shrimp the above dishes are excellent. Others are only decent. So, it's good entertainment for most people. And for fish lovers, it's a taste you'll crave until your next visit.
