If you want to live in Fremont and/or be in the best managed, best location, super safe, and well kept (and much more) apartment building, look no further.
As a renter, I am so spoiled by Epi Apartments that I can't imagine living anywhere else. The best part of Epi is definitely the management and maintenance staff, all of whom are super friendly, helpful, and professional. Management is on site at Epi everyday, and having that service is super helpful for when you are ordering packages online (meaning that you don't need to be at the apartment for pickup--how awesome!) or if you have a question come up. The maintenance guys are very quick with repairs and requests.
The location of Epi Apartments is unbeatable, and the building is super safe. The apartments are located in the heart of Fremont, above the PCC grocery store, and within walking distance of so many yummy restaurants. I don't have a car, so it was important for me to be within several buslines whether I wanted to go downtown, the UW, Ballard, International District, for work and school. Check out walkscore-dot-com to see just how assessable Epi is! The building is super safe because you need a keyfob to be able to enter the main door and the elevator, in addition to your regular keys to your apartment. Also, if you have a car, there is a separate floor only available to residents for which you need a separate garage remote control...and going down the corner makes you feel like Batman!!
I am also super impressed with the sound proofing of the apartments. I have an apartment on the 2nd floor that faces the front, and it's pretty quiet inside (even on Sunday Fremont Market Days). Also, I don't hear any of my neighbors either. I've lived in many other apartment complexes and noise has always been an issue, but here at Epi, there is no concern!!
The apartment rooms themselves are extremely spacious, modern, and well-kept. It feels and is kept like a brand new building. I love having a washer and dryer in the apartment, and the long counter space in the bathroom, and numerous organizing spaces in the kitchen, and the built in desk in the apartment...and I could go on and on...
You may be originally turned away by slightly higher prices by similarly sized rental units in other neighborhoods, but anything extra money-wise is worth it for the safety, convenience, luxuries, and more that Epi has to offer! It's actually pretty tough to get an apartment in Epi, since everyone loves it here, so if you get the opportunity, you are super lucky and should not hesitate!
