I rented from Enterprise several times mainly because of two reasons: this location is within walking distance from my house, and they're almost always the most affordable. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Yeah, they're usually friendly, but they're also clueless morons. Several times my car wasn't ready, despite making a reservation well in advance (isn't this the whole reason why you make a reservation? So your car will be ready when you arrive?!). One time, they tried to sub a huge cargo van instead of my requested economy sized rental. Seriously! The gas alone would've made this a dumb choice, let alone the parking. Another time, I waited over an hour just for them to tell me, "it's going to be at least another 45 minutes, we can upgrade you to intermediate instead if you like?" Great! Wrong. They still wanted to charge me for an intermediate. Wow, what a great way to take care of your customers. Not to mention, this particular location is a complete dump. Reminds me of one of those ugly corner check cashing places littered all over the shady parts of town. I'm surprised there wasn't a bookie stationed in the far corner with his phone and notebook. Stained carpet, 1992 circa computers (which were down one time I was there...that wait was near unbearable), broken chairs. And what's with the rows of chairs & tables? Do they rent the place out at night to telemarketers? As you probably guessed, I'm done with Enterprise. Stay away from this inept bunch. Do yourself a favor, go uptown to a Hertz or a Budget location instead. It will be faster and much less painless than these clowns.
