My car dealership arranged for a car so I had transportation. Someone from Enterprise promptly picked me up. Totally frigid day. Paperwork went quickly. We out to car with Enterprise person. He was nice, knowledgable and demonstrated the car features. Unfortunately I am a whoosie winter driver and rarely drive a car but my own. He kept talking about accidents, insurance for accidents, accidents happen, accidents. I finally said please stop mentioning accidents, drove home carefully through the snow , about a 20 min drive. Stopped at bank, wondered if I could follow the brake button thing to start car. I did restart after several tries. I was anxious to return car the next am. Did not realize I was stepping on emergency brake to start car, so panel would light but of course no engine turn over. Called Enterprise and extra charge to send someone, no one asked which brake but asked if I left light soon. Called triple A and after 28 minute wait time, said they would have someone there about I pm, it was about 9 am when this process started. A friend called said he would jump battery, he got into car and it started immediately! What! Hang on the Dunce Award!. Decided to return this car immediately, I would beat Triple A home, alas, they called while I was at Dealership and they were in my drive, said might need to charge me. After several phone calls got charge removed. Nightmare for me, my fault but...information about starting could be better, my emergency brake is a pull up handle in the console , center of car.
