Would you send your baby to daycare or Grandma's? 3/8/2012

This is the BEST care option for your dog if you need boarding or a day of free play. I've gone to other places locally where you pay to ""house"" your dog in a crate and then pay extra to let them out during the day! Here you get the most natural setting, a home, a yard, dogs to play with and owners who are professionals in the industry. Here my dog has a much larger outdoor play area and playmates to run with all day. The owner's dogs are show dogs so believe me, they are the real deal.\r \r In addition to having Jeff groom my dog, I also had him help me train her here at my house. I installed an electric dog fence and training my Weimaraner was not going well. When Jeff came he made it all seem so easy, he helped out trememdously. For me, a first time dog owner with a tough breed..... his support and services have helped keep Bertie and our whole family happy!! Thank you thank you thank you English Acres family! more

A terrific ""home away from home"" for our Ridgeback! 3/3/2012

Our female Rhodesian Ridgeback has been a regular guest at English Acres for over three years and we could not be more satisfied. She receives wonderful care from Jeff English and absolutely loves the family atmosphere which it provides. There is plenty of fenced wooded area for exercise which ridgebacks require - and we are confident that all dogs at English Acres are well mannered and safe play companions (a clear priority with Jeff). As a Member we use English Acres frequently for boarding with the knowledge that she will receive excellent care, attention, and love. She is as happy when we drop her off as when we pick her up. English Acres is truly her ""home away from home."" more

My Weim smelled and looked amazing! 4/13/2011

As most know the Weimaraner breed is a pretty energetic, active breed of dog. My pup is know different and is my baby... I am always nervous when I have to put her in a kennel, becuase she has such high anxiety. I have used a few kennels in the past and I must say, I never been happier than I was with English Acres when my baby came home. On short notice, I was admitted into the hospital I had to find a kennel for my pup. English Acres took her in and took care of her while I was in the hospital for 3 days. I never had to worry that she was not getting the best care. Plenty of room to run and interact with other dogs, which is everything she needed. The owners are very professional and took wonderful care of my pup. I also have had struggles in the past with her nails being trimmed while she gets groomed, she can get very agressive and does not like her feet touched. Upon pick-up, My baby smelled and looked amazing, she even had her nails trimmed down well and they had not issues with her being aggressive when cutting them. I am very happy and pleased with the experience at English Acres and I know I don't have to look any further for the best care for my pup in kennel care anymore. more

My Pug loves English Acres! 4/12/2011

The first time I went away I tried to leave my pug at a kennel, but couldn't do it! There was no way I could leave him in a 3' by 4' cement cell! I am so thankful I found English Acres! My dog can interact with the other dogs and has acres to run around in! He is so excited when we take him there - he can barely sit still in the car! The owners are very professional and take great care of my dog. English Acres has watched my pug several times, once while we were away for over a week and I never worried once. My family and I can enjoy our vacations and know that our pug is in great hands! I highly recommend English Acres! more

Home Away From Home 4/7/2011

I remember the first time I dropped my lab off at English Acres for day care. She was just a puppy (now she is 1+yrs old). As a nervous ""mom"", I was worried about how she would be treated by the owners and the other dogs. After a full day away from her, I picked her up and she was very tired, in a ""I had a great time"" way. I could tell she wasn't stressed or overly excited to see me. From that point forward, I have used English Acres for when we are out of town or just away for the day. I know Sophie is taken care of and has the time of her life playing with the owner's dogs and also the other boarders. more

Its like ""Club Med"" for dogs 3/13/2009

My dog got to stay in a home thats better than my own home. Their grounds, home, and personal care are out of this world. I got to call an check in when ever I wanted. They never got tired of me. It truly is Club Med for dogs. They only let a couple of pets stay there. That is a big plus, not packed in like a normal kennel. So you better call in advance. I've heard bad things about kennels. Miss caring, not feeding them, druging them, just terrible I'll never use one again now that I found English Acres. Thank you so much !!! Pros: ""There not a kennel"", Private, personal, highly educated Cons: You'd be hard pressed to find one more

My DOG is MY DAUGHTER !!!!! 3/1/2009

My sweet girl means so much to me. It is truly PAINFUL when I'm not with her. We are fortunate that we spend so much time together, however there are 3 days out of each year that we must be apart.\r THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE and NO OTHER PEOPLE , that I would trust to leave her with. Denise and Jeff, I can never THANK YOU ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , Pros: DOGS ARE TREATED LIKE FAMILY Cons: If your dog's a city dog---may get addicted to the fresh air. more

Very Experienced owner 2/27/2009

While I have not visited this location, I can give 5 stars to the Owner: Denise. I have known Denise for 8 years, not only is she an experienced Vet Tech, she is an awesome and dedicated Dog Trainer. I have depended on her to do presentations for other trainers in the area and would trust my dogs in her care.\r more

Love this place 2/27/2009

English Acres is a wonderful place to leave your baby! Your pet stays with them not in a cage all day. You dont have to pay extra to get your pet played with. My dog was relaxed and calm when I picked him up! He did not smell and he was happy! They are in a great location and I would use them again!!!! Pros: Lots of one on one Cons: limited space make reservations early more
