Does Work 12/2/2009

I know several people that use this service. It was successful for them.Your not going to sign up and them give you a job making 50k.But if you are look for a job and not having any luck (like me) give them a try.I am about to try.Wish me luck Pros: No hassle Cons: One Time fee $185 more

Not so sure about this one 8/10/2009

I read an ad on the Careerbuilder website and called the number provided. I spoke with a gentleman who ultimately told me the job in question was still available but I would have to pay $185.00 to find out who the employer is and I needed to come to their office for a screening and orientation. The ad looked like it had been written by a 6 year old who was in the process of learning English, as well! He assured me that their company is an ""agency"" and is not selling a list. Needless to say, we ended the conversation. The gentleman was friendly and gracious...sounded like a salesman I used to know! more

Employment 1 10/31/2007

I went to Employment 1 in Indy. I thought the staff was friendly and informative. I actually read the material given to me in the welcome packet. I did receive several interviews on jobs that I chose that I had no found in the paper or in the internet. I did accept a job on my own from a friend's business. I thought the process at Employment 1 was easy and I didn't have to deal with the mass of internet information that just frustrated me. I would use them again if this job doesn't work out. I think that an educated consumer is the best bet to use any employment agency since you do have to make some effort. Employment 1 isn't for everyone. Its mainly clerical, admin type, industrial, entry level professional and such. If your a professional seeking $50K and up then its not for you but if your looking for a basic job in those areas then it can be good. Pros: I liked the service for what its for. Easy to access and very nice people Cons: Your not guaranteed a certain job more

Avoid this agency 7/11/2007

I recently moved to Indianapolis and contacted Employment One after seeing several newspaper ads. I was suspicious when I was told that I would have to pay $180 upfront for services. When a family member contacted the local consumer adovacy agency, she was told that this agency had its license revoked in 3/07 for misrepresentation and it was referring job seekers to jobs that didn't exist. Please beware! Most employment agencies don't charge job seekers a fee because they are paid by the company you are placed with. more
