Brenda Hoskins helped me through a very difficult time in my life. She has a warm and inviting personality. Her office is a very comfortable space. Talking to Brenda is like talking to a old friend. Her office is a place without judgment and a place you can download about anything. There was never a time, even last minute, that I needed to see her that she didn't fit me in. I would recommend her to anyone. more

A special therapeutic experience 4/22/2011

My middle school age daughter asked me one day if she could speak to someone because she was having peer pressure problems at school. Her confidence and self-esteem was low which is common at that age. After seeing Brenda Hopkins style in handling my daughter, upon her completion I asked my daughter if she mind if I became a client. I enrolled with her blessings. My daughter is now 24 years old. more

    Brenda Hoskins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Multi-Cultural Psychotherapist working with relationship issues, with both adults and adolescents. Brenda Hoskins is a certified DOT Substance Professional (provider) and trained Crime Victims and Sexual Trauma Crisis Counselor. She has worked for the Department of Mental Hygiene as a Substance Abuse Counselor for 7 years, a Rape Crisis advocate for 2 years and as a Child Abuse Investigator for 5 years. Her experience includes working in the battered women's shelter.


    Special interest/expertise includes working with adolescents and domestic violence. Brenda Hoskins has worked with both adults and adolescents. Her therapeutic emphasis utilizes play therapy with children and adolescents.


    Brenda Hoskins earned her Masters in Social Work in 1990 from Adelphi University and my Bachelors in Social Work in 1983 from Marist College.. * Addictions/Substance Abuse
