When I lived in Utah, I loved visiting this store even though emergency preparedness wasn't high up on my list of things to do at the time because they had so many different things to look at. My husband liked to go there because they have a lot of things that can be used for camping gear, as well.
They have too many things to even list and basically they carry everything you would need to be super prepared in an emergency situation. They offer cooking items, kitchen supplies (including things like wheat grinders and dehydrators), food storage containers, radios and flashlights (including ones that are charged by solar power and ones that you can hand crank), camping gear, emergency items (such as first aid kits), water storage items, and everything that you can think of for food storage items. What I love about the store is that you can take your time just browsing and they have quite a few interactive displays where you can try out things like the wheat grinder and you can also sample different food storage items. I have since invested in some of the Providing Pantry food storage items and everything I've tried has been good. Some of my favorites are the bread/roll mixes and pancake mixes. These are things that I would use even outside of my food storage and they are very affordable! They also offer classes to help you learn to prepare for emergencies.
It's ironic that now that I no longer live in Utah, emergency preparedness has become such a priority to me. Since I no longer have access to their actual stores, their website has become a great resource for me. You can buy pretty much anything that they have in their store online also. You just don't have the option of trying things out first. Non-food products come with a one year warranty and there is a 30 day money back guarantee. In addition to ofering a wide variety of emergency preparedness, you will also find that this site provides you with a wealth of information. There are emergency preparedness insight articles as well as an emergency education quiz. It even provides you with a checklist of items for your 72 hour kits. There are also recipes that will help you to utilize and rotate your food storage items. They also have some great resource books. Their shipping is relatively inexpensive ($6 for up to $60 of merchandise, $9 for up to $120 and $12 for anything above $120). My mom and I will sometimes place an order together to save even more on shipping costs! Everything I have ordered has arrived quickly and has been packaged carefully. Some of the things that I have ordered and tried that I have been pleased with are: banana slices, powdered milk (I'm not thrilled with this idea ordinarily, but this stuff is actually decent), the bread and roll mixes, and the muffin mixes. My parents have tried a lot more things (including some of the freeze-dried items) and have been really pleased with everything they have tried.
Their website can be accessed at: www.beprepared.com
This is definitely a "one stop shop" for all of your emergency preparedness needs!
