I was told about this talent agency by a friend, and I've always been skeptical about going to a talent agency, but i decided to go ahead and give it a shot.. I couldn't be happie...

Worst

They take a few pictures, take your money and you'll never hear from them again. Go to John robert powers in Seattle, Plenty of casting calls and true professionals.

Super easy and chill! I've already done two photo shoots, John is an incredible guy. Callbacks from the agency are way easier to manage than going through craigslist ads. Anyone can do this job! I thought I'd be stuck working fast food the rest of my life. Now I model! What a crazy transformation! more

Hello, I wanted to add to this thread. My experience with this agency has been very positive. They were always busy with clients and calls while I was in for my interview and since then, this tells me that they are an active agency. Shortly after starting with them, I was called out for auditions for work on ads. I only started as I was looking for extra work on local films, but they have me looking at other opportunities. They are a thumbs up from me. more

I found the Emerald City Model & Talent team to be very up front on the their expectations and understanding of my expectations. They were gracious to allow me to keep talking for 1 1/2 hours...I really appreciate their patience. I might be new to this business, but not business. We clearly defined what each others roles were, the actions required by each party for our mutually beneficial success (my contracts and leadership training might be showing through here). Short story - I would recommend this team for those of you that are wanting to put an honest effort into this business - like any business or industry; you get out what you are willing to put in. more

A great place to get started as a model 11/27/2011

I found Emerald City Talent off of craigslist wanting to get started and experience with modeling. I got the interview and they easily worked with me on the portfolio and getting my name out there. I have had no worries with contracts or hidden fees. more

Awesome experience!! 11/26/2011

I was told about this talent agency by a friend, and I've always been skeptical about going to a talent agency, but i decided to go ahead and give it a shot.. I couldn't be happier!! this place is great and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The first day I got my appointment, they had already gotten me an audition for a new TV show coming out in Microsoft. I can guarantee you will not regret coming here. no contracts, not hidden fees..NOTHING. I would recommend ECMT to anyone wanting to get a little extra money and have fun while doing it. more

Great for children! 9/15/2011

I was always told how my son should be a model so I decided to do a search on google and found Emerald City Model and Talent. I looked through the reviews and at the site and was pleased with what I saw. I took my 4 year old son to Emerald City and soon after we got started, we were called for an audition for a Sleep Country commercial. He ended up landing the job and we were so excited! I've seen that commercial so many times now and have had so many of his friends' parents tell me that they've seen it as well. Emerald City definitely helped us get him the exposure we were looking for. more

I am a freelance local casting director assistant. I work on all types of productions including TV commercials, corporate videos and print work. We have used ECMT talent for over 10 years and have been very happy with the diverse talent. Their people are reliable, on time and easy to work with. We will continue to use ECMT talent in the future. more

This agency has made it so easy for me to know what to expect in the modeling and acting industry. Not only were they willing to answer any questions that I had, but they also took the time to show me how to start my resume and my portfolio. I was totally clueless about the things I had to do to get started in the industry and Emerald City really made this a fast and easy experience towards the beginning of my modeling and acting future! more

Great People!! 4/27/2011

I signed up with the agency just a few months ago and have found out that this was the best way to go. At the interview I got to see proof of different jobs that the models have done, and jobs that they are working on now. Not only did I not have to pay for any expensive classes, but I also did not have to sign any contracts binding me to working exclusively for Emerald City. Since being with the agency I have already been booked for two different hair shows; one for Pureology and the other for John Paul Mitchell. Both were a great experience and I also got to meet a lot of models there that are also with Emerald City. The shows were a lot of fun, and on top of that the pay is great! I know that Emerald City is very busy with jobs because they are frequently sending me to auditions! I?m really glad that I never wasted any of my time and money on other agencies that offer classes instead of sending you to auditions and gaining experience through completing the jobs. I disagree.... 4/14/2011

I disagree with the review below. I took my 14 year old daughter, Jessica, to John Robert Powers first. With all the classes, portfolio and I-POP combined, I spent a total of over $10,000!! Come to find out they're a school, a ""training center"" as they like to call it. After that I went looking for agents and I went to ECMT. They showed me proof of the jobs and auditions they're working on currently. I did not have to sign a contract either! I really liked that part because we're still freelancing and getting jobs on our own. In the first 2 months my daughter had 3 auditions! One of which resulted in a call back. She hasn't landed anything yet but we're definitely going to keep plugging away until she does get something. I only wish I had heard about ECMT first!!! more

After interviewing with this agency, I went home very pleased. The nice thing about this peticular agency is that the staff are all friendly. They make you feel welcome and give you honest opinions and what to expect. They don't believe in selling you training or charging expensive fees. After interviewing with several of the agencies in the area, I trust this agency with my talents. more

Works for this working girl :D (cheesy I know ;) ) 2/23/2011

I've been with ECMT for a while and they've gotten me out on several auditions. In fact, I just got booked for a WA State Lottery print shoot and it was so much fun!! The crew was so fun to work with and it paid well :D I just found out from EMCT that I was submitted for a TV commercial too!! YEAH!!! So I'm keeping my fingers crossed (and I hope you are too!!) because this would definitely look great on my resume :) more

Totally Worth It!! 2/17/2011

I have been acting and modeling for 9 years and I have worked with several agencies. I am now with Emerald City Model and Talent and what I like about them is their honesty. They are not a school and do not have hidden fees like expensive classes, online fees, monthly fees, or yearly fees. The other agencies I have been with are schools-agencies that I have spent a total of over $3000 on!!! With ECMT I haven't paid nearly as much. They take a commission so they get paid WHEN I GET PAID! When they get me a job they give me a tearsheet or a copy of the TV spot and that's how I update my portfolio. I am so happy with the jobs and auditions I've received from them and with the on-the-job-training they've provided me with. I definitely plan on sticking with them. Another good thing is they don't make me sign a contract. AND THEY ONLY GET PAID WHEN THEY LAND ME JOBS!!! They're great and I'm really glad I found them ^_^ more

They get it done!! 2/11/2011

I've been with Emerald City Model and Talent for quite some time now. I've really enjoyed the work they've gotten for me. It's ranged from promo modeling to hair shows. And I've had all types of auditions for movies and commercials. The most recent one was the most fun!! It was for Xbox/NFL films. It paid $800 and it was a blast!! Thanks ECMT!! EMCT-it's great!! 2/4/2011

I joined ECMT in October and within 3 weeks I received my first job with Microsoft! It was a national ad that paid $4000!! I work a full time job so I really wasn't expecting that much for my first job but it was great to have all that extra money for the holidays. I have also had several auditions since then including Nintendo. It was a blast doing the shoot and I'm happy to be with EMCT!! more

Decent Agency...satisfied to say the least!!! 2/3/2011

We brought our five year old son into Emerald City and we were pretty happy with their services. We are so excited about the jobs he's gotten already! It was really a great experience. While we were doing a TV commercial we did some networking on the shoot and met someone who wanted our son to do a print job! I've read some other reviews and even know some of the people who have written them so I'm pretty sure that at least some, if not all, of the good reviews are legit. Hope this helps people who are interested in getting started in modeling without having to pay ridiculous amounts of money! more
